Parchment Crafted Flower in Black and White

For the fifth Monday in April, Double Trouble Challenge Blog #27 is having us use our "stuff", add words, and add our creation with one of the previous partners. Do visit their site to read the complete post as you do not have to do all of these things to participate.
New to parchment crafting, I am happy to share one of my first little flowers. It sits on a double layer of scallops from Little B and is attached with a tiny black brad. (parchment, like vellum does not hide glue well)

I pulled out a piece of faux sentiment paper (Petite Patterns) from Gina K that I have been hording forever, then added a heat embossed sentiment from Simon Says Stamps, Tiny Words.  Finally, I added some ribbon and enamel dots from my stash.

I selected to share and use the sketch from Stampin' on Tuesday.

Party Girls Club

I have been very happy to have the opportunity to be part of the BabyCakesDND release this month as a guest designer.  For this fun easel card, I used the new #2771 Party Girls Club digi stamp.
Back when I was working, there was always Friday night to look forward to, LOL! I used Copic to color these lovely ladies, but too many to even keep track of, so no photo or list this time. I used a Distress Oxide ink blended background, some glitter Washi tape, a few sparkly enamel dots, and a sentiment from Unity Stamps.

Happy Spring with a TicTacToe

Today, I'm playing with Double Trouble Challenge Blog #26, as well as The Joy of Sets #004. Double Trouble asks for water to celebrate (shower) or rain. An additional prompt is to add a bumbershoot or umbrella. Then, we can also add what we've created to The Joy of Sets if we use a row of their TicTacToe board.
I selected to use rain, but of course to celebrate spring as well. I do love umbrellas and I've always wished to have pretty rain boots like these. The images and sentiment come from a Penny Black set called April Showers.

Following the tic-tac-toe board, I added some lacy ribbon, some pretty flowers and pearls on the flowers and some of the raindrops. The background was blended with Distress Oxides and the images were colored with Copics.

Thanks for stopping by. I do enjoy any comments that you have time to leave for me!

Stair Step Balance Bunni

I enjoyed being part of the BabyCakesDND release last month from Sandra Caldwell, and was pleased to be invited as a Guest Designer again for April. For this card, I used the new #2728 Balance Bunni.
Close Up of Image
I created a stair step card using Crealies Create a Card 03 die. The fun paper is from Doodlebug, Hello Sunshine. The sentiment is from Paper Smooches Spring Fling, and the grass was die cut using Our Daily Bread's Grass Border.

All the eggs were die cut using balloon dies turned upside down. A few Nuvo Drops finished off the card.

Fleur-de-Lis

The optional twist this time for Twisted Thursday is Fleur de Lis / Damask. Our sponsor is Morgan's Artworld and I chose her digital image Helen. (You must be a member of this Facebook group in order to purchase images.)
I found some free papers on Pixabay to use for the background of Fleur de Lis.  I colored the image with Copics and added some Prismacolor colored pencils. the shading around the edges is Distress inks. I finished with a few gold ribbon and gold roses.

Springtime

The Three Amigos Blog Hop Challenge #25 is all about Springtime! And, Paper Smooches has just released this gorgeous floral set, Rosy Posy, that looks like my pretty spring garden of roses! Their monthly prompt for their challenge inspired me to do this cut out card.
Closed Card with See Through Opening
Inside of Card

I used a stencil from STAMPlorations and Distress Oxides for both the inside and outside of the card. Then, I made a strip with the same colors, edged with the Dots & Dashes from Paper Smooches. The white floral border die is from Fran's/Stampendous .

The die cut from the Rosy Posy set was used to cut an opening from the front of the card and then the stamped image on the inside was colored with Prismacolor colored pencils.

I thought a few pearls were called for since this was such a delicate composition.

Let's Get Groovy

Double Trouble Challenge Blog #25 has teamed up with Cupcake Inspirations  #467 with a challenge of "Let's get Groovy" with some wood elements and some woodland critters. At the same time, Gina K has a challenge to do some ombre ink blending.
I selected some of Gina K's inks in Jelly Belly Green, Prickly Pear, and Wild Dandelion for my ombre background blending and sprayed with a bit of shimmer spritz. I then stamped the "wood" tree from Paper Smooches. From the same set, I colored the owl and squirrel from Fanciful Fall with Copics and used the matching dies to cut them out. For the pop our frame, I used Gina K's A Beautiful Life stamp that I heat embossed with white and colored with matching watercolors to the inside panel.  The sentiment comes from the same set.

Sorry Sally

So thrilled to have Lizzy Love, Oddball Art Co, as our sponsor for April in the Freebie/Progressive Challenge on The Outlawz! This image, Sorry Sally #205, was a dream to color!
I colored her and the included heart/sentiment with Copics and edged with Distress inks. The papers are from Prima. I made a paper rosette to put behind the sentiment and added a tiny clothes pin, blue ribbon, and some enamel dots to complete the card.  The main image is popped as well as part of the stitched cut out of the flower pattern.
