Double Gate Fold Card, Thinking of You

The twist this week over at Twisted Thursday at The Outlawz is to "Add a Sentiment". So, add a sentiment to something and come on over and join in on the fun! Our sponsor this month is Besties Designs, and this is Image #30.  This is a double gate fold card and the white "button" is a brad. I used a couple of real buttons and some white waxed twine. I saw my first double gate card on Marie Gamber's Copic and cardmaking blog and she generously gave me a link for the fold directions, which I will pass on to you here.

Spring with Crackerbox Palace

I am honored to be a guest designer for Quirky Crafts. Please join us in the challenge to use some pretty spring colors as shown, or lots of flowers. I have selected to use the suggested colors, with a few flowers as well on my card featuring digital art from Crackerbox Palace. I created a swing card so am showing the card closed and open. The card was cut with a Square Flip-Its die from Sizzix.

Bestie with Punches

This week, the twist for Twisted Thursday at The Outlawz is to use punches. I do have a few punches but don't think to add the often, so this was a nice push to do so. The image is from My Besties image #097 that I colored with my Spectrum Noir markers. The border punch is from Martha Stewart and the little butterfly punch is from Recollections.

Freddie the Frog with a Teabag Folded Sun

The Outlawz has a monthly freebie/progressive challenge. This month, the free image is Freddie the Frog from Encino Stamps. Isn't he just a cutie? First, I fussy cut him, made his lily pad and popped them with foam tape. That bright sunshine is my first try at Teabag folding. I added a bright jewel to its center. The fly is a button that I sprayed with my Copic marker to make it darker. The sky paper is white cardstock embossed with the clouds and then gone over with Distress inks.
Thanks for stopping by!
