Steampunked Card

The optional twist this week at Twisted Thursday, The Outlawz, is "Anything Goes"! Always a favorite! Our sponsor this month is Through the Craft Room Door
I decided to go Steampunk with a card, just for fun. I used an embossing folder, papers with clocks (some cut and popped up), and Distress Inks to put this together. All it needs is the White Rabbit from Alice in Wonderland, LOL!

Java Fox in the Winter Snow

I've just recently discovered Craftin Desert Divas and got this fun digi stamp, Java Fox to work with.
The background was done using Ranger Yupo translucent sheets with Copics then sprayed heavily with Copic blender solution so it could blend and move. I added the sentiment using the same technique on Yupo paper and stamped with StazOn black ink. The "snow" is Nuvo Crystals in white, the fox's nose has some Nuvo Crystals in clear. He is popped up with some foam.

At the Movies

The optional twist this week at Twisted Thursday, The Outlawz, is "At the Movies"! Our sponsor this month is Through the Craft Room Door.

I needed to make a card for my grandson to hold a gift card to a movie theater and a coupon to get some popcorn, so this was a great opportunity to play with this theme. I found this cute image from Craftin Desert Divas called Cutie Popcorn. I used a free photo of popcorn from Morguefile and resized it to work as background paper.

Distress It

The optional twist this week at Twisted Thursday, The Outlawz, is "Distress It"! Our sponsor this month is Through the Craft Room Door.
I may have overdone it with "distress", but I distressed the papers and even wrinkled and curled up the purple paper. I used Distress Inks to color the flower (Stampin' Up). The butterfly is from Heartfelt creations, I added Distress Inks to some butterfly ribbon I had and a bit of copper glitter around the edges of the card.

Cranky Cardmaker

Lisa, creator of Bloobel stamps, has started a Progressive challenge on Facebook. Each month, you will get a new image to play with as long as you participate. This first image, I must Protest, is so much fun. We had to add a sentiment. I have been following Ginger's House who offers some really fun and free sentiments on her blog, and this one fit the attitude of this image perfectly.

I added some Wink of Stella to her shoes for a bit of sparkle, and some Distress Inks around the edges.

For the Birds!

The optional twist this week at Twisted Thursday, The Outlawz, is "For the Birds"! Our sponsor this month is Through the Craft Room Door. The flowers were created from a Heartfelt Creations set of roses and the hummingbird (popped up with double foam tape) is one of my oldest stamps, probably my very first. The die cuts are from Spellbinders, and I used Distress Inks for the flowers and Prismacolor pencils for the bird. The center of the flowers were dotted with Liquid Pearls. A bit of Wink of Stella went on the hummingbird and flowers.

Happy New Year

Happy New Year to all of you crafty people out there. I have so enjoyed meeting new friends through this blog this past year! Reading your comments just makes my day!

This fun image comes from MHK Designs. She has lots of very unique images to choose from. This one is called New Year Greeting Set. I used it to make a shaker card, or a party in paper! I used Copic Markers to color, Distress Inks on the banner, and filled with a variety of sequins.
