Hello Friend

Double Trouble Challenge Blog, #53, is an anything goes, use your stuff/scraps, and share with a previous challenge partner. Not everything is necessary, so do check out all the details. I created a tag for this challenge.
I pulled out my newest stamps set, Stronger Together, from Simon Says Stamps, and heat embossed on some scraps of paper I had on my desk. I colored with metallic colored pencils and added some white gel pen details. The little hearts are popped and a few Nuvo drops were added for a bit more texture.

Edited to add: National Goof Off Day and National Chip and Dip Day as an added fun play from our friends at Double Trouble as requested by my friend, Sue! I can't eat chips, so I played with some sugar free chocolate dip and nuts to make this silly face!

Coffee Date with Lisa and Jean

I am so pleased to share the coffee date card I made with my dear friend Lisa Bzibziak for the Coffee Loving Cardmakers. We share the same love of collecting stamps and dies so it was hard to narrow down what we would select to use in common. We finally decided to go with one of our favorite stamp companies, Art Impression Stamps (I used Art Impressions Hot Java Mama), and a Stamps of Life Coffee Cup A2 Fold-it Card stand up card). Lisa is a great "date", and we had so much fun doing this for you!

I cut the card itself from Kraft and colored with Copic Markers, Prismacolor colored pencils, and a white gel pen. A wrap with some red heavy string finished up the card.
Please be sure to get over to Lisa's blog to see what she created for our "date"!

Thanks for stopping by. I hope you'll join in on the hop!

Goldilocks and the Two Umbrellas

The optional twist for Twisted Thursday is Fairy Tail! Well, my "fairy tale" is Goldilocks and the Two Umbrellas.

This lovely paper and image comes from our sponsor, The Paper Shelter, and I added more coloring, with colored pencils and Distress inks. The little girl is fussy cut to go on top and an embossing folder went behind the fussy cut out circle of the paper.

You Are My Cup of Tea

New to me challenge, CASology, for week 364 is all about tea. I have a cup going at the moment, so I thought I'd play. Clean and simple is hard for me, so I must admit that I struggled, LOL!
I used a Brutus Monroe set called Stamp Fanci (does not seem to be available any longer) that I colored with Copics and colored pencils.

Also shared with the Coffee Loving Papercrafters.

Above the Forest

I have recently discovered Lavinia Stamps, and even better for me, a US distributor with much lower shipping fees and speedy delivery! I find these beautiful stamps mesmerizing and delightful stories just pop into my imagination. Both sites are wonderful with loads of inspiration and purchased can be made from either.
This one, Moon Fairy, was stamped on to a card base with many layers of watery smooshed Distress Oxides. The rest of the stamping, using the little castle and trees, were stamped with a variety of inks. The bubbles and moon have just a touch of glitter.

Welcome to Spring

Double Trouble Challenge #52 = One spring item using a punch or die or fussy cut, optional to add a bee or honeycomb, and finally you can share with Bitten by the Bug (no fussy cutting for them though).
My die cut is Paper Cut Bird from Sizzix. I had to use two different die cutting machines. First, I used my Big Shot and even with the Precision Base and many pass throughs, it wasn't cut all the way. So, off to my Gemini Jr. and with the added metal shim it went through. The little bee is from an Inkadoo set called Patterned Birds & Bugs. I added a bit of twine, a ribbon, and some Nuvo drops to say welcome to spring!

A Friendly Hello

I was watching a video on stamp kissing and thought these cute little guys should have a bit of a chat!
I used some Prima Watercolor Pencils with the Splash set from Paper Smooches and mounted it on a background that I had made a while ago, so I don't remember exactly how I did it, LOL!

Happy Rain Day

The optional twist for Twisted Thursday is make your own holiday card! Well, my "holiday" is Rain Day. In the Phoenix area of Arizona, everyone loves this special day! So, Happy Rain Day everyone!
This lovely paper and image comes from our sponsor, The Paper Shelter, and I added more coloring, with colored pencils. A hand written banner and a few flowers from my stash finished up this card.

Mandatory Daily Cups of Coffee

I saw this stamp set and was smitten, so I had to rush to get the Coffee Planner Set from Sweet Sentiments Stamps. Perfect to use for The Daily Marker's 30 day coloring challenge!
I created a long card, stamped with Momento Ink, colored with Copics and colored pencils, added some Gina K Inks through a Paper Smooches stencil, before adding the final touch of some clear glaze pen on the glasses.

I know this will stay in my list of top favorites of stamp sets! Thanks for the visit!

Lucky is a State of Mind

The Challenge #51 for the Double Trouble Challenge Blog requests green, gold, and a share with Heart2Heart. You don't have to do it all, but are eligible for more chances to win if you do.
I started off with an SVG 4 Leaf Clover easel card from My Scrap Chick and cut all the parts with my Scan n Cut. I used lots of different greens, and gold of course.

The stamps, embossed with Wow Metallic Rich, come from two sets from Close to My Heart. The bird and sunburst come from S1304, My Sunshine, and the heart comes from S1409, Family is Forever.

I made extra shamrocks and did some layering then added some triangular dots.

The sentiment came from a Tim Holtz Small Talk set.
