Time for some Double Trouble Challenge Blog #71 "All the Trimmings". A tic tac toe board was provided and I used the center down and the bottom across. 

I used the Gina K Wreath Builder, Simon Says/Gina K Amazing Flowers, Karin Briushmarker Pro and Prismacolor Pencils, and a Darice embossing folder with Distress Inks. A few Nuvo Drops and gold thread finished up the card.

The Paper Funday Challenge #23

I am back...kind of!

I am back!

It’s been a long three months, and a lot of things have happened that have kept me from crafting. Right now, I’m limping along in my new craft room that is less than half of what I had before and so cluttered and disorganized that I have no idea where anything is, LOL! Hopefully, things will improve as we continue to open the enormous number of boxes that came from Arizona to our new home in Texas.

Totally loving the long/tall format. Our nephew and his sweetie purchased a new home so I had to at least try to put something together. I used the Simon Says set Home Sweet Home and colored pencils. 

All of my die cuts are still hiding from me, so my cardmaking is really limited. Can't promise much until I find all of my supplies and find a way to add them to the new space in a way that I can find them. This card took way too many hours as each item I needed was not where I thought it should be! And, for those of you who complain when it takes a few moments to download something.....we have no option but to use satellite in our new home, meaning sometimes you can't download at all since connections often time out. It takes over 24 hours to back up my phone/iPad, and I can't send things with attachments. Goodby Netflix unless you're willing to spool for over a minute every other minute. Some adjustments will be made and I'm not sure how this will affect my online interests. Any suggestions from anyone who has dealt with this themselves will be more than welcomed.

Rain or Shine

Double Trouble Challenge Blog #55 is all about spring. Do look at all the fun things you can do to participate!

I have been having so much fun with my new stamp set from Simon Says Stamp, Follow the Rainbow (colored with Copics), and the fun clouds stencil, Clouds for Days (using Distress Inks).  I stamped then masked the image to add the background. Using the inspirational photo, I selected clouds, an umbrella, a puddle with clear Nuvo drops with matching raindrops, and the color lavender, one of my favorites!

As an additional challenge, we can share with Artsystamper Digitals Challenge #14, also about spring.

Also shared with Simon Says Stamps Blog Monday Challenge to create a scene. Mine is a rainy day scene!

Hello Friend

Double Trouble Challenge Blog, #53, is an anything goes, use your stuff/scraps, and share with a previous challenge partner. Not everything is necessary, so do check out all the details. I created a tag for this challenge.

I pulled out my newest stamps set, Stronger Together, from Simon Says Stamps, and heat embossed on some scraps of paper I had on my desk. I colored with metallic colored pencils and added some white gel pen details. The little hearts are popped and a few Nuvo drops were added for a bit more texture.

Sketched Flowers with Added Bling

Simon Says Wednesday Challenge is to use some "bling"! Who doesn't love a little bling?

 I saw someone using Twinkling H2O's the other day and had completely forgotten that I had them! I had just gotten my Sketched Flowers stamp set and couldn't wait to color them up, so I grabbed those watercolors and had so much fun. I did a few of the single bits too so I could cut them out and pop them up for added depth. The background is an old shaving cream piece, and besides the very shiny paint, I added some really pretty iridescent sequins for some extra bling.

I didn't add a sentiment, as I don't know what I am going to use this for yet, but the set comes with several wonderful sentiments too!

Stackers in Watercolor

On Double Trouble, Challenge #10 this week, Thing one asks you to use three colors and an image, Thing Two asks us to link up with Challenge #282 on the  Brown Sugar Challenge, creature great or small,  and Thing Three is all about a critter, wild and silly with an optional punny sentiment.

Simon Says Stamps also has one challenge using a pop up, and another, on flickr, that is for using embossed resist. What fun I had getting everything I could into one card.

I used the Simon Says Stacking Animals set. First, I stamped them in brown Momento ink and embossed them with clear embossing powder, then I watercolored with a Prima set. These were cut with the matching dies and popped up. The sentiment, also included in the set was embossed with white, watercolored, and popped up as well. A few blue Nuvo Crystal drops were added just for fun!

Best Friends Forever

Simon Says Stamp has a STAMPtember Exclusive limited run using a set from Gina K. I just adore anything from Gina K and couldn't resist jumping in to their blog challenge to share a card using one of her products.

I used her stamp set called Through Thick and Thin. I first stamped and embossed with white on white cardstock. Then, I watercolored using a watercolor set from Prima. The card base is also from Gina K. I added a few sequins from my stash and stamped the sentiment, also from the set, with Momento Ink to finish off this CAS card for a friend. Everything I used is  available from Simon Says Stamp!

Side Lattice Fold Fall Leaves Card

Three Amigos Blog Hop Challenge #18 is to use a Fun Card Fold!

 I had just seen this card fold in a magazine, but the measurements were not in inches so I went hunting on the Internet. The Frugal Crafter to the rescue!

I wanted to do a fall card as well, so I grabbed my Simon Says Explore Nature Stamps and Dies. I used Distress Oxides to double stamp these pretty leaves and cut them out with the matching dies. Some are added straight to the paper and some are popped.

The paper comes from Paper Pink & Main Pumpkin Spice 6x6 paper pack, and I added some Nuvo Drops in clear and orange. The sentiment comes from the same Simon Says set.

I kept the fun side fold white for a day as I debated as to whether or not I should add color. Color won. Here's what the inside, undecorated, looks like:
This looks a bit complicated, but was really easy to do.

Easter Parade Bunneh

The Progressive Challenge this month from Lisa's Bloobel Facebook page is "Easter Parade" I participated last month, so I got the free image; however, I purchased several of the images since they were just so darn cute! The one I selected for this card is Easter Parade Bunneh.

Isn't he just so cute with his Easter bonnet? I used some of the things that I got with a Simon Says kit a few weeks ago. The giant egg is made with a stencil and some Nuvo mousse. I popped up the flower paper over the coordinating reverse side of dots. I had added a green ribbon to that dotted sheet. I used Copics in RV10, 21, and 25, BG000, 01, 02, and W0,02. some Nuvo clear was added to give his eyes some depth and the bunny was also popped up on his upper body. The sentiment came with the Simon Says kit and was stamped with green Momento ink and embossed. Last, I added a few enamel dots.

Dance in the Rain

The twist for Twisted Thursday at The Outlawz this week is "music". I have just gotten some vellum and really needed to play, so I used a silhouette, A Touch of Class, from Simon Says Stamps and printed it on the vellum. I added it to music paper from DCWV Tattered Time mat stack on black cardstock taped to a kraft paper card.The quote was put through my Xyron to attach to black.
