Happy Birthday from The Most Adorable Raccoons

I was pleased to be asked to be a guest designer for the Festive Fridays Challenge over at The Outlawz. The different themes to choose from are:
Birthday
Get Well
Anniversary/Wedding
 Christmas
Anything Goes
Our sponsor is The Paper Shelter, and I received the image The Most Adorable Raccoons and pretty paper.
I printed everything twice, colored the image with Copics and
Derwent Coloursoft color pencils and then placed over the paper image. I second cut the word design and added the stamped sentiment, Neat & Tangled, Square Thoughts. and popped over the original.

As usual, I finished off with some Nuvo Crystal drops and white gel pen!

Thanks for stopping by. With all the fun ideas, I hope you'll join us over at Festive Fridays!

Daffodil Trellis All Blinged Out

Our always optional twist this time over at Twisted Thursday is Use a Doily, and our sponsor is again LeighSBDesigns Art Stamps. I used the Daffodil Trellis image again to create this very shiny card.

The doilies were die cut using Prima dies, Parisian Lace and Emmanuelle Fleures. The image was run through a laser printer in two different sizes so that I could foil them with some iCraft Deco Foils, then cut and arranged on the doilies. I wish you could see all the sparkle and shine! I also cut out some black doilies and backed with black to tame it down a bit. The sentiment, embossed in Simon Says Antique Gold Ultra Fine powder is from Altenew Tabbed. Some Nuvo Drops were placed randomly for some extra texture.

Welcome Baby

Let's have some fun with a Birthday or Special occasion! Birthdays are welcome as are monkeys or zoo animals over at Double Trouble Challenge Blog #33!

Always happy to share with Paper Smooches challenges, and this time it's an "anything goes".
And, Double Trouble invited us to share with Crafter's Café Challenge #223 if we added a zoo animal!

I managed to use several Paper Smooches sets to do this! Wake Up, A Little Lovin, Fanciful Fall, and Paint Strokes. I colored with Copics and added some Distress Inks for the background. The grass was created with a stencil that I cut out myself. A little gel pen finished this off.

Summer Treats

The Three Amigos Blog Hop Challenge #28 offers up a pretty inspirational photo. That orange ice cream bar just jumped right up at me as it reminded me of my favorite treat from the Good Humor man when I was a child!

I used Your Next Stamp,  Zero Calories, to create a stacker with some other summer treats!
I colored with Copics with some added gel pen, added Distress Oxides for the background, Scribbles Glittering Crystal for the whipped cream, and then a few Nuvo drops.

DaffodilTrellis

Our always optional twist this time over at Twisted Thursday is Twine or String, and our sponsor is LeighSBDesigns Art Stamps. I was fortunate to receive Daffodil Trellis image to use for the month.

For this card, I used my Copic markers and Statler Triplus Fineliners (Copic friendly markers that come in a large variety of colors).

I added some twine and a few Nuvo Drops to finish off the card.

Change for No One

Glow in the dark daydreams is the prompt this month for the Oddball Art Stamps July challenge. I love the freedom these prompts give to just let the mind wander as one looks through all the unique images to select from. I wound up using the Frank the Freak and Hatching Unicorns (sorry, I can't find the links for these) along with a free galaxy image from Pixabay to make this month's offering.
I colored using Copices, Prismacolor colored pencils and some gel pens. The sentiment is from Dylusions.

Thanks for visiting. I hope this is a reminder to be happy with who we are :)

Christmas in July

New challenge from Double Trouble Challenge Blog #32. We have Christmas in July, use an old rubber stamp, include a beach scene, and share with Retro Rubber Challenge #114. Whew.... this really had me hunting for stamps and ideas.
I don't have a lot of rubber stamps, but I found this cute little Santa that came in a huge set of tiny wooden Christmas blocks. I would guess the set to be over 5 years old.

I found some Christmas paper and semi-cut the reindeer and played with some gel pens and some hand cutting. The waves were sprayed with my Copic air brush, Santa was colored with PrismaColor pencils, the sun comes from a set by Paper Sweeties, and the word bubble is from Paper Smooches. I added some Scribbles Glittering Crystal 3D paint to the waves and Santa's hat.

The sun, Santa, and word bubble are popped for dimension. The little blue heart covers a finger smudge. Thank you embellishments!

Remember, you don't have to add all the elements. Be sure to click on the link above to find out all about joining in on the fun!

Crayons and a Kitty = Color me Happy

July's image, for the Progressive Freebie, has been generously been donated by Little Blue Button. School was always my favorite as a child, well, as an adult too for that matter, and I never minded the hours of homework, so I enjoyed coloring up this cutie with my Copics. I cut out the fun edges using the Penny Black Antique Frames. I knew it needed something besides popping up the image, and that's when I remembered these fun crayon buttons.
