Sunny Days

#34 for the Double Trouble Challenge Blog is a Free-for-All Challenge so we can have fun creating with "Some Thing", "Any Thing" and "Every Thing".

Thing 3 is in a sunny mood, so some sunshine or rays would be nice to add, and we can join in with a previous partner for even more fun.

I selected to add this to the Retro Rubber Challenge #116  using the tic-tac-toe of green, texture, and nature. My flower stamps and "sun" are from Paper Smooches and are about two years old.

Paper Smooches also has a challenge this month for school or words, so I thought I'd share this with them as well using a sentiment.

I used a piece of photo paper, sprayed with a resist spray (glue and water, thank you, Lindsay from the Frugal Crafter!), then used some Distress Oxides over top. I then stamped with StazOn and added a bit more subtle color with Spectrum Noir Sparkle pens. The texture is the backing piece of corrugated cardboard.

Thanks for stopping by!

Christmas in July

New challenge from Double Trouble Challenge Blog #32. We have Christmas in July, use an old rubber stamp, include a beach scene, and share with Retro Rubber Challenge #114. Whew.... this really had me hunting for stamps and ideas.
I don't have a lot of rubber stamps, but I found this cute little Santa that came in a huge set of tiny wooden Christmas blocks. I would guess the set to be over 5 years old.

I found some Christmas paper and semi-cut the reindeer and played with some gel pens and some hand cutting. The waves were sprayed with my Copic air brush, Santa was colored with PrismaColor pencils, the sun comes from a set by Paper Sweeties, and the word bubble is from Paper Smooches. I added some Scribbles Glittering Crystal 3D paint to the waves and Santa's hat.

The sun, Santa, and word bubble are popped for dimension. The little blue heart covers a finger smudge. Thank you embellishments!

Remember, you don't have to add all the elements. Be sure to click on the link above to find out all about joining in on the fun!
