Purrfect Mum Gatefold Card

This month at Twisted Thursday, our sponsor is Knitty Kitty Digis. Our optional twist is Die Cuts. My image is called Purrfect Mum.
The image was colored with Polychromos colored pencils and edged with Distress Inks. Then,  I created a gate fold card and a belly band using parts from Sizzix dies.

Hedgehog Love

It's always fun to play along with the Double Trouble Challenge Blog. Challenge #20 is all about love and sparkle. Love is in the air; give someone a hug! (But, maybe not a hedgehog?) Do stop over to read all the different ways you can have more chances to win, and be inspired by the DT and their Crazy Cousin!
I used this adorable hedgehog stamp, from Penny Black. I colored it on Kraft with Luminance Colored Pencils and added some Distress Inks along the edges. For that "sparkle" and shine, I went over different area with my Spectrum Noir Sparkle Pen. The Basket Weave is from a Stampin Up/Sizzix embossing folder.

Poe Appreciation Day Two

Day two for the Poe Appreciation Day blog hop over at Leigh SB Designs has me doing a card today. Yesterday, I did a journal page which, if you are interested, can be found on my Art Journal Blog.

For today's entry, I selected the Tangled Raven Dark image which I placed over some of the words from Poe's work, The Raven.  (As a certified Zentangle teacher, I appreciated the tangled bird.) One of them, I flipped so they could be chatting with each other.

I used Copic and Prismacolor pencils on the birds, Distress Oxides for the background. The papers were Copic air brushed to match the Copic colors I had used on the birds. Finally, I added a few Nuvo drops for added texture.

Layerd Tag - Purrfect Mum

This month at Twisted Thursday, our sponsor is Knitty Kitty Digis. Our optional twist is Layers. My image is called Purrfect Mum.

I made a multi-layered tag for a gift bag for a new mom. The image was colored with Copics. The little  bow, embossed with gold then watercolored with Gina K inks, is from Brutus Monroe.

A Kitten in Some Mittens

The troublemakers over at Double Trouble Challenge Blog, #19,  are wishing for something warm and cozy. Maybe like a kitten in mittens?
I just had to use one of my favorite stamps from Paper Smooches, Chubby Chums. I found a small wooden stamp in my stash that had just the right sized mittens to cover his cold little paws. The sky is a bit of Distress Oxides. The tree is from a Fiskars stamp that I embossed with brown ink. The snowflakes, from the same set, were stamped and heat embossed with white. The greetings come from a set by Stampendous, Snowy Stack. The little kitty was colored with Copics and placed on a wobble on top of a hill using Lawn Fawn's Simple Stitched Hillside Borders. A bit of Nuvo glitter topped those snowy hills. Finally the warm kitty was placed on an action wobbler to shake off those snowflakes!

You're a Fungi Shaped Card

Combining two challenges this time. First, to make a shaped card for Three Amigos Blog Hop Challenge #22, and second and anything goes from Paper Smooches!
Closed Card
I used the Sizzix Regal Stand-up card die but turned it on its side. The stamp and die set is from Paper Smooches, Fanciful Fall, and colored with Caran D'ache Luminance colored pencils. Some of the images are popped for dimension. The tiny hearts are from Stampin' Up.

Hope you'll visit both sites and have some fun with everyone! Thanks for your visit and know that I truly enjoy reading all the comments.

Just a Sentiment

Gina K has now added a fun challenge. This is the first one and the challenge is to use just a sentiment. I selected one from the set called A Beautiful Life.
The background was created using splattered Distress Resist with Distress Oxides and water droplets. The papers are all from Gina K. I added a simple ribbon and bow accent and a couple of Nuvo drops.

Knitty Kitty Purrfect Mum

This month at Twisted Thursday, our sponsor is Knitty Kitty Digis. Our optional twist is Animal Antics. My image is called Purrfect Mum and I thought I would go with the yarn ball theme.
I colored the main image with Copics and Prismacolor colored pencils. The green is Distress Inks. The yarn was a bit (okay a lot) uncooperative, but I finally tamed it with lots of glue, sticky tape, snot dots, and hot glue gun!

Love and Smooches

For our Progressive Freebie Challenge this month we received this adorable image from Sheep Ski Designs. I have been intrigued by the "impossible" card. A quick trip to Splitcoast Stampers and I had the recipe.

Here are a couple of views:
