Picking

Our sponsor for Twisted Thursday is QKR Stamps, Stamp On It. I found this really fun image to have a play with called Picking.
The optional twist is to use something with the first letter of our first name. "J" is for Jean and "J" is for jade. Jade Copic marker that is! I used it for the little guy's vest and to air brush through a Heide Swap stencil for the background. The rest of the image is also colored with Copics. I found this sentiment on an Internet search of "booger" quotes, and did it on my computer, LOL!

Hope you've enjoyed this fun card as much as I did making it. As an aside, I got in "trouble" when I was a music teacher and taught the kiddies a song called "Don't stick your finger up your nose'! ('cause your nose knows that's not the place it goes). No sense of humor at all for some parents :)

If Friends Were Flowers

February's Progressive Freebie Challenge is sponsored by Di's Digis.  The image, Ava, is available to you if you join in on the fun.
I cut four layers of the stained glass die cut from black and heat embossed it with clear to give it a rich shine. The glass portions were colored with Karina Wink and Spectrum Noir Sparkle Pens. The image was colored with Copics, fussy cut, and placed on a black oval then popped. I printed the sentiment on my computer and simply glued it into place with a few Nuvo drops added.

Also shared with The Daily Marker 30 Day Coloring Contest.

Thanks for your visit. I enjoy reading your comments!

Love and Smooches

For our Progressive Freebie Challenge this month we received this adorable image from Sheep Ski Designs. I have been intrigued by the "impossible" card. A quick trip to Splitcoast Stampers and I had the recipe.

Here are a couple of views:

This folds flat for mailing!

The papers are from C.C. Designs, Smoochie Paper Pad, and the die cuts are from Paper Smooches.

If you're not playing along with us, just pop over to The Outlawz, join, and request the image. We'd love to have you!

Thanks so much for stopping by. I love reading your comments!

The Outlawz - Special Challenge and Blog Hop

We are so happy to be having this special challenge blog hop for our 7 year celebration!

For this challenge you have to use the special, and free, digi from SheepSkiDesign! Thank you, Andrea, for sponsoring this event with this beautiful image.

If you'd like to be part of this event, you can request the image and join in on the fun.  Send an email to: outlawzprogressivechallenge@gmx.com with Bloghop Image as subject.
I used Copic markers to color the image and Distress Inks for the edges. The card shape and additional leaves were created with a die set called Creative Basics Fancy Rectangle Build a Card Die Set. The sentiment, from Power Poppy Planning for Magnolias, is popped. Last, I added a few clear dew drops and tiny dots in the centers of the sunflowers with a white gel pen.

Edited to add that I was one of the winners:
