Coffee and Donuts

I was a very fortunate winner over at the Sandra Caldwell Stamp Fans group on Facebook. I won a choice of three images. It's really hard to choose just three, but one that I selected was Coffee and Donuts #294 from BabyCakesDND on Etsy.

If you look it up with the link above, you can see that I did a bit of "surgery" because I wanted to do a window with an inside and an outside! The window is from Stampin Up and that fun sentiment (always cracks me up) is from C.C. Designs. (I can't find it on the site any longer though.) I used a Lawn Fawn die to make the hillsides.

I used Copic markers to color the image and added some shine to the sun and doughnuts. I also added a bit of white pencil to the windows. The sentiment and doughnuts are popped, and a few enamel drops finished off the card.

Thanks for stopping by. I always enjoy reading comments!

Fall Love

This month our sponsor for Twisted Thursday has been Time for Tea. This is the final week of the month, so it is an Anything Goes.
This really pretty image is called Fall Love. I colored her with Copic markers and did a bit of layering on the 5" x 7" card. The leaves were die cut using Stampendous dies from Fran's. I used patterned paper for the green and Kraft for the brown. The brown ones were also run through with an embossing folder. Both had some Distress inks added.

The sentiment is from Echo Park Celebrate Autumn, and I added some Nuvo clear drops for the dew drop look and a bit of rustic string.

Come In If You Dare

The theme for October over at the Oddball Art Challenge is Happy Horrors.  This time I used the free haunted house image for members only. I just had to add the zombie boy in the upstairs window, and if you open up the door, the zombie girl will greet you! The background is Distress Inks. The sentiment, included with the house, is popped!

You Make Life Sweet Shaker Card

This month our sponsor for Twisted Thursday is Time for Tea. The optional twist for this week is Something Sweet.
The image is Baker Girl. I colored her with Copics and Prismacolor pencils and fussy cut her out. The card was created using a shaped cupcake card from My Scrap Chick. That one doesn't seem to be available any longer, but she has lots of other ones. I used my Scan n Cut to cut the pieces out. The frosting is very sparkly white paper from DCWV Metallics. I used a Fluffy Clouds die from Polka Doodles to make the cut out for the shaker portion of the frosting. The sentiment is from Inky Antics, Chocolate.

I made a huge error when I assembled the card. I had used an embossing folder to make creases in the paper portion of the cupcake and it wound up on the back;
I had to draw the lines on the front. I used some glossy accents on the cherry just for fun.

Fall Leaves

This month our sponsor for Twisted Thursday is Time for Tea. The optional twist for this week is Autumn Holiday.
I chose this sweet fall leaves digital image, colored her with Copics and Prismacolor colored pencils. The background was created using a coffee filter and Color Bursts. It was left over from a transfer technique. I cut out the two layers with stitched rectangles and edged with Distress Inks. I added a few leaves from Yvonne Creations Dies. I made my own sentiment, for a Thanksgiving card, and,  added a couple of tiny brads and some Nuvo Cryastal drops.

Autumn Leaves

This month, the theme for the Three Amigos Blog Hop Challenge #19 is "Create a card with your favorite Autumn theme!" For me, that would be leaves. I grew up in New Jersey where we had delicious fall colors. Maybe not so much here though in southern Arizona.

I was very fortunate to have been able to go to Our Creative Escape (Kim from Paper Smooches) for Kathy, The Daily Marker's Road Trip. Kim did a little make and take using some alcohol inks. I decided to use the Paper Smooches set, Large Leaves, to cut out the pretty colors to make two fall cards. The sentiments are from Paper Smooches as well:  Thanks so Much and Thanks.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you'll take a look at the Three Amigos Blog Challenge for more inspiration.

Witchy Polly from Time for Tea

This month our sponsor for Twisted Thursday is Time for Tea. The optional twist for this week is circles and stripes.
I chose this cute little witch, Witchy Polly Digital Stamp, colored her with Copics and Prismacolor colored pencils then cut the image and backing using circle dies from Hero Arts. The striped background paper is from Pink & Main, Pumpkin Spice. I added more cut circles and added some doodling with a white gel pen. Look for the tiny sentiment strips; they come from Halloween Clipping Stickers, Tim Holtz!

You Make My Heart Melt

Combining a few different challenges in this creation. First, on the Double Trouble Paper Crafting Blog (Challenge #11), one of the challenges is to use only black/white and one other color. A second challenge is to share with The Crafter's Cafe Challenge Blog. Then, we have a sketch from Paper Smooches for their October challenge.
I used the Paper Smooches set, Warm Hearts, for the trees and snowman. R27, and light cool grays were the only Copic colors I used for a bit of shading. The hills were cut with Lawn Fawn's Simple Stitched Hillside Borders with the top one popped. A second snowman was colored and popped on top of the flat one. A bit of washi tape finished the card.

Thanks so much for your visit. I hope you have the time to leave a comment.

Forever Friends

Our September sponsor is MMedelIllustrations. We received this adorable Dreamy Fox to use for the Progressive Freebie over at The Outlawz.
Since this cute little fox is digital, I was able to turn one and resize to create the two. I colored with Copics and followed with Prismacolor Pencils. Unfortunately, I thought I had taken a photo of the colors, but I put them away before I did.

The paper comes from the Amber Moon from Prima, the sentiment (embossed with white) from Friends, KaiserCraft. I created an easel card, popped up the sentiment, and added some brads, burlap, and sequins from my stash.

Thank you so much for stopping by. If you do not have the free image to participate, just let us know over at the site. Once you do one month, you automatically get the new image to play with the next month!
