House-Mouse Hanging Lights

Recently I purchased the cute little stamp, Hanging Lights. I thought the purple challenge at House-Mouse & Friends would be perfect for it.
I stamped out the Christmas bulbs two more times, colored and fussy cut them, to add to this tinsel like yarn from my stash. A bit of Wink of Stella helps to make the bulbs shine.

Santa Tree Christmas Tag

The optional twist this week over at Twisted Thursday, The Outlawz, is "Anything Goes". I selected AKV Santa - Tree from our sponsor, Bugaboo, to make another gift tag for another of my grandchildren.
For the background, I used some Distress Crayons blended with a baby wipe and then added some glass beads through a dotted stencil. Santa's tree was textured using a rag and Copic Blending Solution. I cut the colored image with my Scan n Cut and popped it on to the tag with foam for added dimension.  Gold thread was used to attach the tiny tag and the top was tied with gold cord from Make it Christmas from Hobby Lobby.

Ladybug Christmas Fairy

The optional twist this week over at Twisted Thursday, The Outlawz, is "Christmas Magic". I selected Ladybug Fairy from our sponsor, Bugaboo. The image has her holding a ladybug, but I added a Christmas ornament to make her work for the twist.

The additional stamps come from a set called Classic Christmas from Practical Publishing. I believe they came with a magazine. I embossed the tree on watercolor paper and used some Twinkling H2O's. The main image was fussy cut and the sentiment is popped. I added some Liquid Pearls.

Boot Camp 2016

I have just spent four of the most enjoyable days coloring with my Copics from early in the morning until very late at night. Copic Boot Camp is the brainchild of Jennifer Dove. Along with some very sweet "minions" she worked us long and hard to improve our Copic coloring skills.  I met some very delightful fellow enthusiasts who have become new friends as well as renewing friendships with some past attendees. People came from all over the country and even a few from across the ocean to participate. We worked on skin, hair, eyes, clothes, folds, feathers, leaves, clouds and more. We used an air brush and played with textures using blender solution and fabrics. Of course, we had delicious food and treats along the way. Sponsors donated tons of goodies for give aways and prizes. I am totally exhausted with a huge smile. This is the piece that I am most proud of. The stamp comes from Jenn Dove, Dove Art Studios, over at CC Designs.

The optional twist this week over at Twisted Thursday, The Outlawz, is "Get Well". I selected this Critter Sign It - Cat from our sponsor, Bugaboo.
After coloring, I fussy cut and popped up on this tent fold card. I used some heart die cuts, a stencil and my Copic air brush system, and a few pearls.

Rudolph Presents

The optional twist this week over at Twisted Thursday, The Outlawz, is to make or use a tag. I love to put special tags on gifts for my family, so this one is for my granddaughter.

I used a manilla tag covered with several reds of Distress inks. A bit of water splatter was added and then some BoBunny glitter paste was added through a Christmas ornament stencil from Carta Bella. There is also a bit of Liquid Pearls and some Stickles. The reindeer, from Bugaboo and called Rudolph Presents, was put on top of some ripped green paper edged with white Distress ink.  He has some Glossy Accents over his eyes and I added a small tag to the big tag. Finally, I added some gold cord from Hobby Lobby.
