You Are My Cup of Tea

New to me challenge, CASology, for week 364 is all about tea. I have a cup going at the moment, so I thought I'd play. Clean and simple is hard for me, so I must admit that I struggled, LOL!
I used a Brutus Monroe set called Stamp Fanci (does not seem to be available any longer) that I colored with Copics and colored pencils.

Also shared with the Coffee Loving Papercrafters.

Thanks for stopping by. I always enjoy reading comments!

Clean and Simple Peek-A-Boo Card

Clean and Simple, that's the twist this week over at The Outlawz' Twisted Thursday. Our sponsor is Besties Digi Stamps by Sherri Baldi, and I just love them. This is image 039 and I love how you see part of the image with the card closed and then the rest when you open it up.

Copic Colors Used
I used some Distressed Inks in Mowed Lawn and Broken China on the top of the card and then made a matching little sentiment banner.

Thank you for stopping by and taking a look. I love reading your comments!

Have a Cupcake - CAS (Clean and Simple)

Today I made a CAS, Clean and Simple, with a cute little Penny Black stamp called Sweet Thing. I added a bit of Wink of Stella and gel pen in yellow and clear. I used a die to cut her out with scallops, raised her and the black embossed sentiment with foam dots, and placed them both on an embossed (The Paper Studio) green paper with a simple purple ribbon. The edges of everything, including the white stock card, were buffed with VersaMark in purple.

House Mouse Fall Float, CAS Merry Christmas

Mojo Monday, 365, had a tall and skinny design. I really didn't like the solid topper so I softened it with just leaves and my own melted bead accent. Instead of three descending banners, I did Merry Christmas in that space in the same kind of downward motion. So, I think I stayed within the spirit of the design.

A Facebook group for House Mouse Lovers asked for a card with a pumpkin. I don't have any stamps with my little mousies that have a pumpkin, so I just added a pumpkin and some leaves to Fall Float.
The pumpkin and the little guy are on foam lifts and the "HI" circle is edged with gold glitter glue.

Clean and Simple Fall Leaves

A very simple CAS (Clean and Simple) made with my alcohol inks sprayed with alcohol on glossy paper for the background and then some water colored leaves that I did a while ago. Stamped sentiment from Stampabilities.

Happy National Watermelon Day from the Outlawz CAS

I am so pleased to have been invited to be a guest designer over at the Outlawz challenge of CAS (Clean and Simple) for the month of August! Being new to cardmaking, I have been working hard to learn how to layer and add all kinds of embellishments in a tasteful manner, and here I am now trying to keep my card uncluttered. I think both types of cards have their merits. Again, being new to this, I have been looking at many blogs and websites of very talented cardmakers who also are on design teams. I am fascinated by this and wondered how you get to be on a design team. Maybe someday, when I grow up (HAHA) I can be a member of a design team too :)

So, for 5 weeks, you will be able to see my card over at the Outlawz. Here is the link for this week's challenge, Watermelon (in honor of National Watermelon Day).

Diamonds or Pearls, for the Outlawz Challenge

CAS, Clean and Simple, challenge from the Outlawz was to add just a touch of bling in the form of diamonds and/or pearls. I kept mine very clean and simple with an embossed card base and cutouts with my Sizzix Dies. The flower is colored with Copics.

Making Some Enamel Dots and an Outlawz CAS Challenge

Sometimes I really wonder at the coincidences there are in life. Yesterday, I got a bee in my bonnet that I should make my own enamel type dots that I have been seeing others do. So, I pulled out my toaster oven and made some dots. First, my toaster oven is a convection oven with no way to turn off the fan. Big problems in trying to do double decker dots HAHA.
Unhappy Doubles
If they fell far enough away from each other, the came out as singles like the top pink ones. Otherwise you get a mess. But, I had a lot of fun. I tried pony beads too but the came out misshapen. Doing singles using the Perler beads directly on a shiny tile instead of the parchment paper worked best in my oven. I baked mine at 375 for about 35 minutes.

Some small, some double and some on tile.
Anyway, about the coincidence. After I had finished, I opened an email from The Outlawz CAS (Clean and Simple) Sunday challenge and our card is to be all about polka dots!!! Amazing.  Here I was with all these dots. My first thought, and I ran with it, was the fun candies that came on the strips of paper. They were pure sugar and you peeled them off the paper (some always stuck) and let them melt in your mouth. I think they still sell this stuff!
One of the dots, the very gold one, is made from a dot of "Pearl Pen" that I dropped on my craft sheet and let dry. Many of the yellow dots were white and I airbrushed them with my Copics. I used scissors to cut the two that end of the fold of the paper. This was so much fun to do.

Also, I am so please to see one of my cards featured on the main page of the Outlawz. If you have a chance to hop over there, it is the Stampendous House Mouse blowing bubbles.

Thanks for stopping by and I love to get comments.
