Watercoloring with Coffee

So, after I saw someone (sorry, don't remember who since I watch a bazillion videos each week) use dried coffee as a watercolor medium, I just had to try it. I only put a bit of leftover (Well, there's never really any "leftover", is there?) coffee in little containers and waited patiently (yeah, right?) for it to dry. Then I stamped out the pot and cup, Coffee Happy, from Stamplorations onto water color paper and watercolored! What fun. No, mine doesn't smell like coffee. Could I have used brown watercolor? Why yes, but where would be the fun in that?
The yellowish parts are from where I used my waterbrush to pull some of the stamped ink into the image. I used Adirondack Caramel ink to stamp because it's nice to have a little caramel in your coffee. The little stamped beans come from a Fiskars set.

Thank you for stopping by. I'm starting to see all kinds of possibilities in my future, like tea, Jello, Kool-aid, wine? Hope you'll be inspired to play with your food, and let is know of what odd things you might have colored with.
