For the last week of December, the twist over at Twisted Thursday, The Outlawz, is an anything goes. I chose this image LOV U from our sponsor, Sherri Baldy, My Besties. I used Polychromos colored pencils, blue gel pen, Squeezed Lemonade Distress inks around the border of the image, Copics to airbrush the die cuts, and a Simon Says Stamp die for the sentiment. (Her forehead is not yellow, just some kind of reflection from outdoor lighting.)
Let's follow the path toward colorful and playful art together, learning as we go.

Fancy Pants Loves Copics and Snowmen
This is one of my favorite images ever. Why, because from our sponsor, My Besties, AND because I do Love My Copics. Unfortunately, I failed to take a photo of the colors I used this time, but they were Copics!
The image is Fancy Pants Loves Copics. Twisted Thursday, The Outlawz, for the optional snowman theme. As you can see, she colored with joy LOL! I used some circle dies to cut out the snowmen and used foam dots to lift them off of the sides of this side step card. The sentiment is from Hero Arts, the die cut circle for the sentiment is from Little B Scallops. The top arch on the main image was made with a Spellbinders cutting template. I used Distress Inks for edging, added a ribbon, and a few turquoise pearls. (The photo shows them as a green, but they really do match the other blues.)
Thank you for stopping by. I love reading your comments!

Hello Snowman Sketch with Distress Edges
From the Heart, i {heart} card sketches w/ a tWiSt #132 offered a sketch and an optional twist to do distressing to the edges. I chose to do both. This sweet little snowman is called "Hello Snowman", and a perfect image for just a hello (especially good for a knitting friend, which I have several!).
I used Polychromos colored pencils for the color, and added some Wink of Stella to the snowman. The sentiment, which comes in this set, and the blue heart were popped up on foam tape. The edges of the circle and sentiment were distressed and I added some Broken China Distress Inks to the edges.
Thank you so much for stopping by. I love reading your comments. I'd also like to wish, to all of your who celebrate, a very Merry Christmas!

Girly, Girly
"Girly" is the optional twist over at Twisted Thursday, The Outlawz. So, I grabbed this sweet little image from My Besties called Sherri Baldy with Teddy and thought, pinks, doilies, ribbon, and flowers. My Copic airbrush got to play with the card base, doilies, and flowers so everything would match. I used a border punch from Martha Stewart on the top. I also played around with the Bokeh style for the Copic background. Unfortunately, I put away my markers and didn't get a photo of the Copic colors I used this time. Very girly, I think!

Snowman Hugs
From the Heart, i {heart} card sketches w/ a tWiSt #131 offered a sketch and an optional twist to add snow. I chose to do both. This card will be for my hubby for Christmas. We make a cute couple LOL!
I used some turquoise cardstock and added an embossed layer of snow, on white cardstock, from The Paper Studio. I went over this with Peacock Feathers, Distress Ink. The image, Snowman Hugs, was cut with a circle die, edged with the Distress Ink, and popped up with foam. A few random snowflakes from my stash completed the front.

Loving this adorable image from My Besties, sponsor over at Twisted Thursday, The Outlawz. Christmas Box is completed as an easel card, and is for the optional twist of "Christmas". I used some Wink of Stella on the ribbon and star, some clear gel pen over the eyes, an embossed piece of paper for the inside sentiment which was heat embossed with Apple Red WOW embossing powder. The inside stamp is from Stampabilities. The yellow sentiment is die cut from an Elizabeth Craft Designs die.

Gift Card Mitten
From the Heart, i {heart} card sketches w/ a tWiSt #130 offered a sketch and an optional twist to turn it into a gift card. I chose to do both. I found a template, that I won't even link because I spent hours before I could get it to work, for the cardholder. I clear embossed the front using a Hero Arts snowflake stamp and went over it with Distress Ink followed by a baby wipe rub. Then, I edged the piece with a darker ink. I came up with a silly, but appropriate, sentiment all on my own to match this cute little mitten. I used R24, 35, 46, 59 and G02, 03, 05, 09 Copic markers. The mitten is popped up over the red banner.
The back of the card was sprayed with B04 using a Copic airbrush. A couple of stamps and the twine and it's ready to be given!
Thank you for stopping by. I truly enjoy reading all your comments!

Wind Blown Penguin
This week for the challenge over at i {heart} card sketches w/ a tWiSt #129, I chose to use both the sketch and the twist. The twist was to use heat embossing. I used a snowflake stamp from Hero Arts and embossed it with clear embossing ink and stamped it on to white cardstock. Then, after heat setting, I went over it with several shades of blue Distress Inks and wiped it with a baby wipe. The three snowflakes are plastic white ones that I sprayed with my Copics in B2. I used thee ribbons to make the stripe in the background that matched the colors of the balloons. This cute little penguin and sentiment come from a set called Wind Blown Penguin.

In the Meadow
i {heart} card sketches w/ a tWiSt #127 has a really nice sketch to use and/or to have lots of white and use color for embellishment as the twist. I chose to do both. Christmas Tree Shaped Card
This week's twist for Twisted Thursday, over at The Outlawz, is to have something with wings. I chose this sweet little Christmas Angel, from our sponsor, Ppinkey Dolls.
I have a brand new Scan n Cut, by Brother, that I used to design a Christmas tree card. I am very pleased with how it turned out. I did two trees that I created and overlapped them. Then, I cut a single one using different paper for the front. I edged that with Distress Inkes and added some Stickles. The image is popped up with foam for dimension.

Playing With Snow
The optional twist over at Twisted Thursday on The Outlawz is to do "paper piecing". Well, that's a new one for me and I had to ask what it was. It simply means to cut out, from different papers, part of the image. Our sponsor, PpinkyDolls, has this cute little girl, Playing With the Snow. I colored her with Copics and then added a sweater, scarf, and ear muffs from patterned paper from Colorbok. The ends of the scarf are lifted with foam tabs. I used the same sweater paper for the base that keeps the card propped open. The big flakes are made with Neon Amplify and the bottom snow and bigger flakes and sentiment are embossed with Snow from Recollections. The white brad is from Recollections and the small snowflakes were stamped with Hero Arts White Ink.

Mouse Balloon, From the Heart
This week i {heart} card sketches w/a tWist is #126, From the Heart. I used both the sketch and the twist. I couldn't resist this cute little mouse with a balloon for the focal point of the card. Can you believe that this image with sentiments is FREE right now? Do hop over and get your own! I used a stencil from Poppy Crafts and my Copic air brush to do the background. The green circle is embossed and then sprayed with the air brush as well. I used the texturing technique on the mouse to make him a bit furry and I fussy cut out the balloon, topped it with Glossy Accents and popped it up for dimension. The sentiment also comes with this nice set and is popped as well.

Deedee's November Progressive Challenge - Seal
Deedee's Digis November Progressive Challenge includes this adorable seal. I did an easel card to show off this cutie! I fussy cut the seal and glued him to the snowflake paper and then cut that out as well. The papers come from Hello Winter from Echo Park Paper. The tiny bit of red is a gel pen. Blue snowflakes and decorative dots were added from my stash. The sentiment was included in the set. For the inside, I created a gift card holder.
