This week for the challenge over at
i {heart} card sketches w/ a tWiSt #129, I chose to use both the sketch and the twist. The twist was to use heat embossing. I used a snowflake stamp from Hero Arts and embossed it with clear embossing ink and stamped it on to white cardstock. Then, after heat setting, I went over it with several shades of blue Distress Inks and wiped it with a baby wipe. The three snowflakes are plastic white ones that I sprayed with my Copics in B2. I used thee ribbons to make the stripe in the background that matched the colors of the balloons. This cute little penguin and sentiment come from a set called
Wind Blown Penguin.

DeleteHey Jean! I really like how you achieved the transparency on your balloons. That's always so tough to do. I really like the colors you chose and the background. Thanks so much for sharing this with us at From The Heart Stamps Sketch Challenge 129. Best of luck.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Kathy. I think it could be better, but I have not given up and will continue to work on it. I love images with balloons just for that reason :)
