This week's twist for
Twisted Thursday, over at The
Outlawz, is to have something with wings. I chose this sweet little
Christmas Angel, from our sponsor,
Ppinkey Dolls.
I have a brand new Scan n Cut, by Brother, that I used to design a Christmas tree card. I am very pleased with how it turned out. I did two trees that I created and overlapped them. Then, I cut a single one using different paper for the front. I edged that with Distress Inkes and added some Stickles. The image is popped up with foam for dimension.

Thank you for stopping by. I love reading your comme
nts!
Jean, I love how you made a tree-shaped card for this! It's the perfect background for the image! You've colored the little angel beautifully (as always!), and the distressing on the card front is lovely. The effect of it all is just gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Carrie. I was excited to be able to find such a fun use for my Scan n Cut. I am anxious to come up with more!
DeleteSo adorable and the perfect shape card. Love the background paper for the tree work really great. Your gold touches look real nice. Fantastic job with your coloring. Love the candles on the inside.

Thank you very much, Pat. This one was really fun to make.
DeleteOh, wow, Jean, what can I say...GORGEOUS,STUNNING, SO CREATIVE! I just love what you have done with the tree shaped card! What a super idea! Now, I wonder if my machine will do that? Hmmmm, will have to try to figure that out! I may come to you for help!
ReplyDeleteJanet, you are just so encouraging. Thank you. I do love that machine. I'm still learning though. I think I can just send you the one I designed and you can use it on your machine. Maybe? We'll see :)
DeleteFantastic card Jean. What kind of machine did you get? I have an Explore Air from Cricut and I love doing cuts on it. They are so precise and you can choose your size for your particular project. Also if you don't have any Sentiment or image you can make anything with uploads and/or free hand drawing. Saw in your blog you like to Zentangle, just purchased an Adult Coloring Book which reminds me of Zentangle, and in fact I just used one for this months Progressive challenge.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Sue. I got the Scan n Cut. I really didn't know which machine to buy but there was a special on this one, so I got it. I think they all do similar things. I am actually certified to teach Zentangle, which I do, and certified to teach Copics. I love them both :) I also have many coloring books and love to color all the time too. Enjoy yours.
