Toucan Cross Stitch

Paper Smooches has an CAS, Clean and Simple, challenge this month. The card itself is very CAS, I think, even though the focal image took several hours! (I must admit that most of my colored images take a long time to complete as well.)

I've always loved the look of cross stitch, but not the hours it would take to do. But, with this Stitched Circle die, I can whip one up in no time. I first stamped this adorable toucan from the baby birds set and then did the cross stitching. I edged the white paper with Distress inks and popped it up on to a black circle and then to a MemoryDex card. The sentiment, white heat embossed on black, is popped.

  1. Oh, my, my eyes are popping, again! This is fantabulous! What a clever idea! I never saw a die that would do this
