Double Trouble has one extra challenge this month, making this Challenge #6. Thing One asks for something, anything, or everything. Thing Two suggests we add our post to a previous partner. And, Thing Three asks us to decorate the inside of our card. One of our previous partners was The Three Amigos so I am joining in on their embossing, wet or dry, challenge.
I had an unused stamp set from Recollections,Cheeky Modern Pop Unicorn, that was sitting in my "neglected" pile. I also had some very thin black paper sitting in a pile. So, I stamped "SOMETHING", the Unicorn on the black paper with white ink, colored lightly in white and then added the colors using Polychromos pencils. I added some shine with sparkle pens and some Glossy Accents on the horn. The background is both wet and dry EMBOSSED adding Wow gold embossing powder over an embossed piece of Yupo that had been colored with alcohol inks (it's the pink and yellow vertical stripes that you can barely see). The sentiment on the front was from the set and I added some pretty Liquid Pearls.
To add to the INSIDE of the card, I stamped the sentiment that came with the set then added some Bo Bunny glitter paste through an Altenew stencil called Warp Speed.
Hope you'll join in on the fun for both of these groups! Thanks for your
visit.
I love unicorns, and this one is gorgeous, Jean! Legend has it that the last known unicorn was seen in Maine! I’m positive that would be the best place for a unicorn to hide!
ReplyDeleteI love your inside...so beautiful!
Now, wouldn't that be something to go outside with your morning coffee and see such a magical beast! Thanks, Janet, you know I have to be kind of forced to do the inside, LOL!
DeleteI believe the background may be one of the ones you did at the Crop, I guess I should have read your blog first which confirms it. I knew it wouldn't take you long to use some of your Yupo creations...that was a fun time at the crop. I'll need to pull out my Yupo designs and see what I can do...got some great creations but not as clever as you on how to use them. Lots of glitter, embossing and magical. Thanks for sharing with us at Double Trouble and pairing it up with Three Amigos.
ReplyDeleteI was all set to put the unicorn on a different background, but then I saw the embossing part on Three Amigos and didn't want to use up a "pretty" one, Sue. So, I used one that was a bit bland that worked perfectly with the embossing. Glad you had fun with making such a big mess :)
DeleteLove love love love this! LOVING that unicorn!!!!!
ReplyDeleteUnicorns are just a bit special, Julie! Thanks!

ReplyDeleteOne of my grandnephews also loves unicorns, so I suppose I will need to send this to him. Thank you, Melanie!
