Birdbrain and Wine

From the Heart, i {heart} card sketches w/ a tWiSt #143 offered a sketch and an optional twist to add  elements from your stash. I did both this week. This bird is called "Birdbrain Wine" and comes with the sentiment.

I thought I'd give Birdbrain a "feather color treatment" and turned him into a blue bird this time. Do you think he minds? I just loved the background paper and so he just had to be blue this week LOL!

The element is some sparkly enamel dots from my stash. I added some Distress Inks to the image and sentiment. The sentiment and dark purple shapes were die cut with parts of the Darice Nesting Book Pages set. I used a clear gel pen on the glass and Wink of Stella on the bottle. The sentiment is popped for dimensional interest.

Shamrocks and Bugaboo

This week, the optional twist over at Twisted Thursday, The Outlawz, is to "show some green"! Our sponsor is Bugaboo, and I selected this sweet little fairy called Ladybug Fairy. The easel card was constructed using my Scan n Cut and a SVG file from My Scrap Chick. Sentiments from Authentique, Charmed. The image was die cut from a Gina Marie die circle set.

Copic Markers Birdbrain - From the Heart

From the Heart, i {heart} card sketches w/ a tWiSt #142 offered a sketch and an optional twist to add  IG sentiment. I did manage to do both this week. This bird is called "Copic Markers Birdbrain" and comes with the sentiment. I adore this set since I am a Copic crazy person LOL! I used a striped paper and then used another piece for the angle and added some Washi tape to it.  The sentiment is edged with Distress Inks. The die cuts come from Gina Marie. A couple of big enamel dots topped the front.

Digging Dog, From the Heart

The Progressive Challenge this month from From the Heart, offers us this cute little dog called "Digging Dog". Free if you participate monthly, or purchase, enter, and then receive the next month's free.
I found this great, new to me, fold on Splitcoaststampers. It is a diagonal fold that has two pockets and then even opens to have a separate inside message area.

Here, I've partially pulled out the inserts. The front pocket is perfect for a gift card or tickets, the second pocket for a sentiment.

Nerdy But Nice Bunny Gift Card

The March Progressive Freebie Challenge is now available over at The Outlawz. Artist, Gerda Steiner, donated the sweet little bunny in glasses called Nerdy But Nice for us to use. I used an idea I got from Splitcoast Stampers for how to use a little bag to make a gift bag card. I got my bags at Hobby Lobby but you could use any similar bags.
I used Washi tape with the orange polka dots, some cardstock that was heat embossed with white and then watercolored with Distress inks. The bunny, of course, has some Glossy accents on his glasses. Just so he can see better :)

Easter Bunny From the Heart

From the Heart, i {heart} card sketches w/ a tWiSt #141 offered a sketch and an optional twist to add an easel card. I always try to do both, and I think I am close. I didn't want to make this adorable bunny smaller since he is toooo cute, so I had to fudge with the sketch a bit. This bunny is called "Easter Bunny" and comes with the sentiment. After coloring with Copics, I used the colorless blender on some nubby fabric for the texture. The eggs come from a Lawn Fawn stamp set called Chirpy Chirp Chirp. Two of them are popped as is the sentiment. The image is edged with Squeezed Lemonade Distress Inks.
