Donut Hippo

Our August sponsor is Sandra Caldwell from BabyCakesDND. She generously gave us this adorable hippo with a donut to use for the Progressive Freebie over at The Outlawz.

The image was colored with Copics and Prismacolor colored pencils. The oval die cut is from Hero Arts, and the fun card shape is from the Fancy Rectangles Build a Card die set. (The bird, ready to gobble up any crumbs, come from the same set.)

I added a double bow ribbon, letters from the We R Memory Keepers Word Punch Board. The image is popped, and the doughnut was covered with Glossy Accents. The sprinkles were added with Nuvo Crystal Drops.

Thank you so much for stopping by. If you do not have the free image to participate, just let us know over at the site. Once you do one month, you automatically get the new image to play with the next month!

Birthday Dance

Birthday month for Sandra Caldwell over at BabyCakesDND. You can join in on the fun over at her Facebook group!
I chose  #1592 Ballerina Hippo for my image. I colored her with Copics and added PrismaColor colored pencils for detail and depth. I also added some clear gel pen to the eyes, flower, and toenails. All of the papers come from WeAre3 on Etsy. I used the Celebrate for the hearts (Paper Smooches), and Just a Dress (Cut with Paper Smooches Flower Frame).

For the final step, I popped the sweet hippo on an Art Impressions wobble and added some fun birthday sequins.

I will be posting a short video showing the wobble in action. I do not know how to get this video to my blogpost though.

Thanks for stopping by. I love reading your comments!

Doctor Hippo

Here's Hippo number four in celebration! We are all so happy to help Holley celebrate another year of good health. Do read up about this at her blogBaby Cakes on Etsy, Sandra Caldwell, has put four of her adorable images on sale just for a HIP HIP HIPPO Celebration. This one uses the Doctor Hippo, on sale right now for only $1.50!

I colored the image with Zig Brushables, and added some band aids and a heart from Paper Smooches. A sentiment from Tim Holtz ChitChat and a few white enamel dots finish the side step card.

Hope you're all taking part in Holley's celebration. Thanks for stopping by!

Hip Hip Hippo

Another yearly celebration for Holley. We are all so happy to help Holley celebrate another year of good health. Do read up about this at her blogBaby Cakes on Etsy, Sandra Caldwell, has put four of her adorable images on sale just for a HIP HIP HIPPO Celebration. I selected Ouch Hippo to make this card.
I colored the image with Polychromos colored pencils, and dotted the eyes with Nuvo Crystal Drops.I popped up some pretty papers from We Are Three that I had added the stitching digitally, also from We Are Three. A few yellow Nuvo Drops and red twine finished the card.

Hope you're all taking part in Holley's celebration. Thanks for stopping by!
