The optional twist this time for Twisted Thursday on the Outlawz, is "masculine". I used this fun car image from our sponsor LeAnn's World 101, called Beattle Bug!
I created a side step easel card. The fun car papers and ephemera are from Echo Park. The "bug" was colored with Copics and Prismacolor colored pencils with a bit of clear gel pen on the headlights. It was popped to the front of the card.
I especially enjoyed doing this as I have more than one lovely memory of times spent with family and friends in the past that had yellow VW's!
Thanks for visiting. I do enjoy reading your comments!
Ohhhhhhh I love love love love this! LOVING that bug!!!! SO fun!!!
ReplyDeleteLots of memories of these classics from the past, Julie. Thank you!
DeleteI love what you did with this bug, Jean! Get your kicks on Route 66!
ReplyDeleteA place we like to visit is Jerome, AZ, where Route 66 went through. Now, it is a quaint "ghost" town high in the hills with a great place for hamburgers.... worth the trip :) Thanks, Janet!
DeleteI really love the whole Route 66 idea here! How fun it would be to take that trip across country and get a burger! However, that would be a long way for me to take horses and dogs for a burger! hahahaha Anyway, love this card and the memories of going out west with my parents this card brought back!
ReplyDeleteI used to watch the TV show Route 66 as a child never dreaming that I would live near it someday. Never thought of myself as a "westerner" before either, LOL! Wish you could visit, Katrina!
DeleteJean love how you have protraded this wonderful motor car. Your card is so neat. The VW car brings back memories of my child hood this model was around then. Love what you have done here. Hugs to you Andrea
ReplyDeleteThis one is going to one of my sons who had this car, Andrea. Thanks!
