Cardinal and Embossing Folder

The optional twist for Twisted Thursday is Favorite Product or Technique & Why?

I don't know if I could call this a "favorite" technique as I love trying out new things on a daily basis, but I do like the added texture of embossing folders that have been swiped over with using an ink pad. I used a Darice embossing folder with trees, and the cardinal comes from our sponsor Anne's Digital Art.
I colored a simple base on the image using Copics and then added details using Prismacolor pencils. The sentiment, Friends, is from Altenew and white heat embossed.

Thanks for coming by. Hope you'll join us. Remember, the twist is always optional!

Spring Witch

I have really enjoyed being part of the, Sandra Caldwell, BabyCakesDND release this month as a Guest Designer. For this card, I used the new #2767 Spring Witch.
I found a fun copyright free image from Pixabay of a laboratory and another of a cauldron. After coloring the fun witch, in spring colors of course, I fussy cut both the witch and cauldron to pop up on the background. A bit of gel pen to finish it off.

Happy Birthday Outlawz

Help us celebrate the 8th birthday of The Outlawz, on which I am a DT for the Twisted Thursday group! Follow this Link and leave comments along the blog hop for a chance to win some great prizes!
The Outlawz has some amazing sponsors. I chose some precolored images from Image That Digi Stamp and, since they were png images, I layered them before cutting out. The sentiment comes from another of our great sponsors, Bugaboo. I added some white gel pen and a gold heat embossed Happy Birthday (Elizabeth Craft Designs, Banner Sentiments).

This week, the challenge from Double Trouble is to include transportation and silver or gold. I added a gold foiled background and some gold enamel dots. This will also be entered in Brown Sugar Challenge Blog who has partnered up with Double Trouble for this challenge.
Also sharing with The Paper Girls Challenge Blog who are running an under the sea challenge!

Thanks for stopping by. I appreciate any comments that are left. I do use moderation, but check often so I don't miss anything!

Craft Her

I am very pleased to be a Guest Designer this month for the very talented Sandra Caldwell of BabyCakesDND!

I got to color up this new image, 2745 Craft Her, using my Copics, PrismaColor colored pencils, and some clear and white gel pens.
I cut her with my Scan n Cut and popped her over a background photo from a copyright free image on Pixabay that I stamped (Lawn Fawn, Color my World) and embossed. I added some "journaling" with gel pens and a few enamel dots for some added fun.

A Rainbow of Flowers

The optional twist for Twisted Thursday is Rainbow. I'm not usually a rainbow kind of person, but I am pleased with how this looks with our sponsor's, Anne's Digital Art, container Vase of Iris and Tulips.
The image was colored with Prismacolor colored pencils, the background was watercolored with Derwent watercolors, the frame was die cut with Penny Black's Antique Frame, and some ribbon and rainbow gems were added from my stash. I only used the same rainbow of colors for the flowers as I used in the vase.

Thanks for coming by. Hope you'll join us. Remember, the twist is always optional!

Rainbow Birthday on a Green Sky

I have so much fun at the beginning of the month trying to do a card for each of my friends' challenges that meets everyone's requirements. So, here is my take on Paper Smooches (birthday), Three Amigos Blog hop Challenge (rainbow), Double Trouble #x24 (Wearing of the Green)!
Copics Used
The rainbow (for Three Amigos) was printed from a copyright free image in Pixabay (I added a green background for Double Dare, it doesn't show up in the photo too well, but it is really green!). The sweet fairy was colored in Copics and comes from the Paper Smooches So Fairy Cute set. The Happy Birthday was embossed in gold.

Some liquid shine and Nuvo drops finished off the card.
Along the way, I had my usual disasters. This time, I took a photo so you could see. I was looking all over for my colored image that already had sticky foam on the back ready to be popped. I looked for about twenty minutes before I thought I'd better get everything cleaned up......

Thanks for stopping by. Hope you'll take a look at all these fun challenges linked above for even more inspiration and all the requirements to add your own!

Life Sized Leprechauns and Unlucky Clovers

This month, over at Oddball Art, the challenge is "Life Size Leprechauns and Unlucky Clovers" . I selected Say What You want Gabby, LizzyLoveIMG398, to color with Copics.

I used the background image, Grunge Lace, LizzyLoveIMG342 and added a shamrock and Irish Blessing from Pixabay. The furthest background is a free paper Irish Luck from TLC Creations.  Edges were cut with Penny Blacks, Antique Frame.

Some gel pen, a piece of twine and some Nuvo drops finished off the card.

You can get double entries if you pair up with a pal, but my friends are already busy with too many other things, and I want to keep them as friends, LOL! But, do read up about it and find a friend to enter with you!

Thanks for stopping by!

Edited to add that I was a second place winner.

Egg-cited for Spring

Sandra van Blaricum, one of our design team members, generously gave us a very spring like image to use for our March Progressive Freebie Challenge.
The eggs were colored with Copics, and I colored the grass twice to pop up a second layer. The fluffy clouds (Polka Doodle), were edged with Distress Inks. The sky was blended with Distress Inks as well. The yellow border is a die cut from Catherine Pooler, Morning Joe Border Dies.

I had a box of little goodies that fell over on my work surface, so this wound up with a lot of fun little embellishments. The butterfly was a shrinky dink, the bird was a Tim Holtz Crazy Birds stamped and colored on foam, then heat shrunk. Of course, she needed a little bow! The flowers, from my stash, were colored with Spectrum Noir markers.

Thanks for your visit. I do love reading your comments!
