Mushrooms and Ovals

The optional twist this week for Twisted Thursday over at The Outlawz is Eggstatic Ovals! Well, I have three ovals layered on this card, so lets be ecstatic about that!

Our sponsor, Limited Run, had these wonderful mushrooms called Mushroom 10. I chose to keep them all in browns with the lifting Copic technique to make little circles on them. The background is Tim Holtz burlap, the mushrooms were cut with Paper Smooches Ovals 1 then popped up, the double outer ovals were die cut with a Darice Oblong Doily frame. A simple bow finished this card.

    1. I've always loved mushrooms, Andrea. Not to eat, but there is something a bit magical about them. Maybe it's the idea of little fairies living in a forest of mushroom houses?

    1. Thanks, Janet. I have so much "stuff" that it's good to find uses for some of it now and then. I've had the burlap forever and I'm glad I found a home for at least one piece of it!

  5. Love the layering of those ovals, and all the texture in the card. Using a lot of kraft and the touch of the blue oval and green ribbon, great combinations, not to mention your coloring of the mushrooms, excellent image.
