The background paper is from Tim Holts, Distress Woodgrain Cardstock. I added some Vintage Photo Oxide Distress inks after I had already taken the photo and splattered with water. He is popped up over the burlap and burlap ribbon.

Thanks so much for stopping by. I so love reading your comments!
Well, Jean, what's not to love?! Burlap and a horse....2 of my favs! This guy reminds me of a fellow we had for awhile who was an off the track Thoroughbred; he was such a sweetie! (I usually don't go for TB's; I'm more of a draft cross or Quarter Horse person.) That background is perfect!
ReplyDeleteLOL, Katrina. I knew you would love this card. After I finished it, I thought "it looks like Katrina made this"!
DeleteExcellent background setting for your horse, and your technique on horse makes it come alive. Background woodgrain is certainly barn wood. My brother-in-law used barn wood in his kitchen very similar to this.
ReplyDeleteNice that you noticed that dotting technique, Sue. It takes forever :)!
DeleteSo beautiful! Love the horse and the extra touch of burlap! Totally love it!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Angela. Not my usual style, so it was fun to do!
DeleteHello my dear new friend your card for our Farm Theme is so neat such a great idea and beautiful paper for your background I do love it. Hugs to you Andrea
ReplyDeleteHugs back, Andrea. Thanks for the sweet comment!
DeleteGorgeous, Jean! I love the amazing texture you added! It's all so perfect! I can smell fresh hay!
ReplyDeleteSo funny, Janet! As I read the comment, "I can smell fresh hay", being the mother of 4 boys, my mind immediately finished the sentence with "and see all the grass stains!" LOL! I do miss all the chaos of having young children around sometimes. (But, not for long since I ALWAYS know where my scissors are now!)
DeleteGreat combination of elements and textures!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Melanie.
DeleteLove love the colors and textures on this one! Awesome!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Lisa!
