Down on the Farm

The optional twist this week for Twisted Thursday over at The Outlawz is Down on the Farm. This week, I used an image from DoveArt Studios called Horse Head.
The background paper is from Tim Holts, Distress Woodgrain Cardstock. I added some Vintage Photo Oxide Distress inks after I had already taken the photo and splattered with water. He is popped up over the burlap and burlap ribbon.
Our sponsor this month, Limited Run, has lots of wonderful digital images for you to choose from. Please do take a trip over to see.

  1. Well, Jean, what's not to love?! Burlap and a horse....2 of my favs! This guy reminds me of a fellow we had for awhile who was an off the track Thoroughbred; he was such a sweetie! (I usually don't go for TB's; I'm more of a draft cross or Quarter Horse person.) That background is perfect!

  2. Excellent background setting for your horse, and your technique on horse makes it come alive. Background woodgrain is certainly barn wood. My brother-in-law used barn wood in his kitchen very similar to this.

    1. So funny, Janet! As I read the comment, "I can smell fresh hay", being the mother of 4 boys, my mind immediately finished the sentence with "and see all the grass stains!" LOL! I do miss all the chaos of having young children around sometimes. (But, not for long since I ALWAYS know where my scissors are now!)
