This was not an easy challenge for me. I usually use 4 colors to blend and get the contrast I like. The twist for Twisted Thursday this week over at The Outlawz, is "triple play" and use ONLY three colors. Now, I decided to take this quite literally and chose only three Copic markers. I'm sure I could have used different intensities of each color, but I decided to challenge myself to really stick with only the three markers. I used a light blue, medium yellow and olive. For depth, I simply went over some areas several times. I chose the same colors for the background color (Broken China Dystress Ink) and papers. Even the bow is olive.

Christmas Greeting Snowmen

This week I followed the sketch given over at i (heart) card sketches, but no twist. I used the adorable Christmas Greeting Snowmen digi stamp for the outside. I fussy cut the image, added to the starry paper and a piece of glitter paper, and then popped them up over the glitter papers that were cut with die cut scallops and arranged as the sketch. A bit of Wink of Stella and some red embellishments finished the front.

I had to use these sweet trees too on the inside. They come as part of a different set called In the Meadow.

Voodoo King

This month the Progressive Challenge over at The Outlawz has a very different kind of a challenge image. I had soooo much fun working on this tag that I made using Voodoo King from SLS Lines.

For the background, I used the Skeleton Lady stamp from Stampendous and the Swirl Border from All Night Media. I edged the tag with wilted violet and black soot Distress Inks and gave it a good spray with Perfect Pearls. I added some clear and white gel pen to the image, fussy cut him out and placed him with some foam tape for dimension. Finally, I added a buckle and some purple lace ribbon.

Spooky Owl Shaker Card

For the last twist of the month, Twisted Thursday at The Outlawz is an anything goes. Our sponsor this month has been Stitchy Bear, and I found this wonderful spooky owl silhouette digital stamp that just begged to be turned into a shaker card. I only used three Copics to color this one, Y11,Y13, and Y15. I added a few yellow sequins and some gold and clear fine glitter. The sentiment is from Recollections which I heat embossed with black embossing powder from Ranger.  I also added some gold button brads.

Hello Snowman

For this weeks sketch challenge from i (heart) card sketches with a tWiSt #124, I chose another cute little snowman called Hello Snowman.  I used both the twist and the sketch. I added some embellishments from Jennifer Ellony. I added some chunky white embossing powder to the trees and some snowflakes from my stash. The image is fussy cut using my Scan n Cut and popped up with foam. The sentiment is also popped up for added dimension.

Ellie Campervan Side Step Card

This week for Twisted Thursday, over at The Outlawz, the optional twist is "Transportation". One of my favorite things to do is hop into my hubby's vehicle and be "transported" just about anywhere. We always have a good time!

I made a side-step card and used this sweet little elephant couple, Ellie Campervan, from our sponsor, Stitchy Bear. I cut up some maps for DP and added some Wink of Stella and a bit of bling. Notice the license plate U N Me!

Swinging Snowman

This weeks sketch challenge over at From the Heart is to use the sketch, twist (stitching), or both. I used stitching for my stand up card. The stamp I chose is Swinging Snowman. I colored him with Copics and added some Wink of Stella to his carrot nose and the candy cane. I edged the snowman image with some Distressed Inks in Broken China. The paper is from The Paper Studio in Woodland Wonders. I added some snowflakes for embellishment and white gel pen for the "stitching".
