Teddy Bear Amongst the Flowers

The optional twist for Twisted Thursday is to use our first embellishment. Our sponsor is Leigh SB Designs.

I can't really remember for sure, but probably my first embellishments were flowers. These flowers were created with parchment paper using floral flowers and leaves from Clarity Stamp.
The image, Teddy Bear Valentine Wreath, was printed on parchment and colored from behind using water based markers and Prismacolor colored pencils. I only used part of the image to nestle into the flowers. See my last post to see the full image.

Thanks for stopping by. I always enjoy reading your comments!

Remember to Play

The optional twist for Twisted Thursday is a recipe: ribbon, word sentiment and 3 layers. Our sponsor is Leigh SB Designs.
Closed Easel Card
The easel card was made using Carta Bella, Practically Perfect paper. The circles were die cut with Clarity Stamp Picot Circle Dies. The image, Teddy Bear Valentine Wreath, was printed on parchment and colored from behind using Prismacolor colored pencils and blended with Dorso Oil.
The sentiment is from a Tim Holtz Small Talk set. I wrapped some ribbon around the popped up sentiment bar.

Parchment Crafted Seahorse

This sweet seahorse was creating using a Groovi plate and parchment (vellum) paper. Color was added from the back with Prismacolor colored pencils and blended with Dorso Oil.
I used the picot rectangle dies to cut out, did some picot cutting and attached with tiny brads.

Thanks for visiting!

Think Pink

I have so enjoyed being the Crazy Cousin this month over at the Double Trouble Challenge Blog! For Challenge # 39, use your stuff and think pink!

This time to use "stuff" you have in your stash (new and old).

Optionally, since October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Think Pink and make pink your prominent color choice.

And, finally as an optional Double Dare, link up your project with any of our previous partner(s) below for extra chances to our Random Draw. Make sure you read their guidelines carefully and observe their dates. We don't want you to get into Trouble with them.

This means: each time you link with a previous partner, or multiple partners with the same card, you gain additional chances for each partner challenge you entered. Please make sure you identify them in your blog along with our Double Trouble link.

The Joy of Sets - TicTacToe

I am so enjoying the new to me craft of parchment crafting. (embossing and coloring on parchment/vellum) I especially love using the Groovi System introduced by Clarity Stamps as a way for newbies to easy into this wonderful craft. Do look into it and please send me any questions as I am a great enabler, LOL! Here's a link to Barbara Gray with a written demo. And, here's one that has a video.

Thanks for stopping by and hope to see you over at Double Trouble!

Nadia on Parchment

For the Progressive Freebie Challenge over at The Outlaws, we are fortunate to have MMedelIllustrations as our sponsor with this pretty image, Nadia. It made me think of a cameo and, since I have started parchment crafting, I wondered how this would look done by coloring on the back of parchment paper using an oval like a cameo has.

Using Polychromos on the back of the parchment leaves a very pale image and also reverses the image. The light blue on the embossed background flowers and edges of the oval backing is from a dusting of Distress Inks. The sentiment, white heat embossed, is from a set from Neat and Tangled, Square Thoughts. The tiny flower is an example of parchment craft. A few Nuvo drops finished up the card.

Thanks for coming by. I hope you will join us. Just click on the link above, or here,  to find out how!
