This summer time fun digi set came from Deedee's Digis.
I colored with Copics, edged main panel with Distress inks, fussy cut the two little bears, added some Wink of Stella to noses, bows, and ice cream, Glossy Accents on those yummy cones, and Gelly Roll Silver shadow for the truck trim. The little bears are popped up with foam for some dimension. A couple of orange heart dots to match the hearts in the wheel finish off this card.
Do take a look at all the other fun cards over at Deedees!
Let's follow the path toward colorful and playful art together, learning as we go.

Happy Birthday, Pardner!
The optional twist over at The Outlawz, Twisted Thursday, in an anything goes. I used the digi stamp, Ken Cowboy, from Stitchy Bear Stamps. I made a background of washi tape on a Kraft card background and fussy cut the image and put it on top of some corrugated cardboard. A couple of embellishments and he is done.
This card goes to my "pardner" for his birthday :)

Tutorial for Making Paper Flowers For Cardmakers
Just a quick tutorial on making some paper flowers. I found an easy way to make some if you have any of those craft scissors with the scalloped edges.
Cut a piece of paper in a 2 1/4 x 2 1/4 inch square. Use the scissors to cut out a spiral.
Use a pair of narrow tweezers to roll the spiral starting at the outer edge. Slip the tweezers out of your flower while holding it securely.
Keeping the flower between your fingers, allow it to uncurl up a bit into a pretty flower shape.
Twist he last bit under (and up the side if necessary) the flower. Add glue to the bottom piece and wait for it to dry while still holding the flower.
Use the tweezers to curl the edges.
Finally, admire your lovely flowers. Add some shimmer or bling. I used some Silks paint on the edges of the black flower.

Butterfly Wings
The optional twist for Twisted Thursday, The Outlawz, is "anything with wings"! I selected this pretty image butterfly and hibiscus by Floppy Latte Designs from Stitchy Bear Stamps, which I cut out with a stitched diecut rectangle and added to pinkish cardstockm and then on to a white card. I colored with my Copic markers. The additional butterfly and sentiment were diecut from white foam, shrunk with a heat tool, and then sprayed with my Copic air brush. A bit of Wink of Stella finished it off.

Toots Birthday Mail from Polka Doodles
I was on Facebook where I saw someone post a card called a "cris cross" card. I had never heard of that one, so I was off on a hunt. As usual, I found it on Splitcoast Stampers. Oh, what a fun construction. I used the cutest owl from Polka Doodles called Toots Birthday Mail. It has an insert card to pull out with a place to write a personal note. Toots has some Glossy Accents over his eyes and some Wink of Stella on his "brass" and watch.
Thanks for stopping by. I love reading your comments!

How Does It Get Better Than This?
I wanted to wait for my son to get this card for his birthday before I posted it. He absolutely loved it. After all, it has his car, his lady, and his pup, according to him!
I found a picture of his car traced it and colored with Copics. I cut out the windshield and found some photos to place inside. Popped it all up with foam. Special card for a very special son! (They're all special; I have four sons and each one has made me so happy and proud!)

Diver Daniel
My dear friend, Janet (do check out her sweet card!), has gotten me into do the challenge from Deedee's Digis. I'm really glad she did. What a cute image that I got for this month, plus I found more that I just HAD to have LOL! I used a side step card for this little duck. I added some Wink of Stella, Glossy Accents, and a bit of white gel pen for highlights. A bit of Salty Ocean Distress inks were added to the edges. I used wave like scissors for some of the pieces, fussy cut part of the duck and rock formation.

Happy Father's Day from Stitchy Bear Stamps
Twisted Thursday, from The Outlawz, has an added twist of Father's Day and/or Nature. I chose this sweet silhouette from Stitchy Bear Stamps. I added some black and white ribbon, popped up some embellishments, and added a button to complete the card.

Gardening Bear
This is a new digi stamp that I got today from Polka Doodles called "gardening". I used blending solution on his "fur" to make it bumpy.
Do check out the 30 Day Coloring Challenge. Some days, I'm only posting to Instagram. You can find me as jeanchaneyaz there!
I also used my new Garden Favorites quilling dies from Quilled Creations to make the paper flowers.
I also used a die cut of make the border around the image. A bit of Wink of Stella was added to the boots and watering can.

Dance in the Rain
The twist for Twisted Thursday at The Outlawz this week is "music". I have just gotten some vellum and really needed to play, so I used a silhouette, A Touch of Class, from Simon Says Stamps and printed it on the vellum. I added it to music paper from DCWV Tattered Time mat stack on black cardstock taped to a kraft paper card. The quote was put through my Xyron to attach to black.

Latch Card
I saw a tutorial today by Dina Kowal for Splitcoast Stampers on how to make a latch card today. I love her tutorials. I used my new Zig Clean Color brush pens on watercolor paper with a waterbrush for blending. I love the watercolor "sloppiness" that you can get with these. I wish I could afford all the colors! The latch is popped up on foam and creases are added to the back piece allowing for bending the card to open it easily.
I stamped the inside with the same image but in light Tattered Rose Distress Inks so that I could write my message over it.
This is also my coloring for day three of The Daily Marker 30 day coloring challenge. My other pieces so far can be viewed on Instagram. I am jeanchaneyaz over there.
