Busy, busy. And, that's a good thing! I made a card for my hubby's buddy who is having a knee replacement, a card for our anniversary, and I entered a coloring contest over at Dover.

Happy Birthday to my Son

I am very lucky to have four wonderful sons. One of them has a birthday this week. I used VeeDub from Doctor-digi to make the car, fussy cut and raised above the black cardstock road.

Beside the markers shown, I used YG67 and B95 to airbrush the sky and grass. I used the red to spray the tag. The little flowers are from Studio G/Mary Beth Freet/Pink Light Designs. I added some Stickles glitter to the center of the flowers and did the chrome on the car with a Pentel Slicci in silver.

My newest card. I colored her ear thinking it was hair :( I also colored in her tummy skin thinking it was part of her top. No biggie though LOL!

I made slits in the cardstock and edged the right with Distress Inks and inserted the colored paper into the patterned paper. Added some ribbon and a few layers of flowers with pop dots and centered with "gems."



Getting tired of forgetting to put down the colors that I use when I color with Copics. So, this is my solution:

This digital stamp is April Showers from Pink Gem Designs. Copics used: Bird Y11-13-32-38, Heart and Nose YR04-07-21, Feet and Umbrella Handle E12-23 YR24. Hat and umbrella in greens with a red topper button. (Note that I did not list the greens. I just can't seem to remember to write everything down - sigh)

Clipped edges and swiped with Distress Ink in Tea Dye, Adhered to Nana's Kids paper then to embossed green paper. Added clouds N1 - T2 that was textured with Copic blending solution. Raindrops were touched with Stella Wink. Wood buttons were air sprayed with YG17.

Distressed and rubbed edges with Antique Linen, taped to green polka dotted paper, added large polka doted paper below with ribbon and popped up music note circle. Mounted on yellow cardstock.

Poppy from Pink Gem Designs Birthday Card

I am entering a new world with card making using my Copics. I am so impressed with all the talent out there that I never even knew existed. I am just a tad overwhelmed right now, so I am dipping my toes into the water first. I worked on a little stamp, Poppy from Pink Gem Designs. This will be my first entry in the big world where people show what they have done.

I first colored her hair with Y21-23-26 and YR24, but then added E23-25-27. Her eyes were BG11-13, but topped with E23. Skin E00-01-11-21. Tights B05-06. Top RV00-02. Flowers and strings to top RV11-13-17. Boots RV00-02-04 and W0.

I gave her blond hair and green eyes before I remembered that a friend has a birthday coming up. So, I went back and changed her hair and eyes to brown, as my friend has, and made it into a card using a sketch from Mojo Monday.

Pink cardstock for card, all red edging and embossing done with Festive Berries Distress Ink. Two heart buttons are of wood.

Copic Colored Penny Black Stamped Card

This is the card that I made from the Sweet Thing Penny Black Stamp that I colored and showed you last week. I like making the envelopes (showing in the background) with my Envelope Punch Board. I get to use all those pretty papers. Maybe I will start making my own papers too and make the envelopes from those. Hummmm....

Sweet thing was colored with: Hair Y21,YR21, YR24. Skin E50-53-55 Blush R11. Cupcake E47-57-55 and grass YG11-63.

Embossed the background of card with dotted embossing folder. Next layer had Distress Ink in Festive Berries directly on the embossing folder, run through my Big Shot, added Peeled Paint over that lightly. Diecut circles and airbrushed with Copics and did edges with the Festive Berries. Ran the two smaller ones through the Big Shot with the same dotted embossing folder. Stamped "Hello" on the larger of the two with the Festive Berried. Attached the circles with raised dots.
