Framed or Easel is the optional twist this week over at Twisted Thursday, The Outlawz Our sponsor this month is MHK Designs. I used the set I've Been Framed which has several different frame styles and quotes.
I used Copic Markers G21, G94 and E55 for the trees and grass then added Distress Inks, Tattered Rose, Seedless Preserves and Tumbled Glass, followed by some water splashes for texture. The card base was edged with Copics followed by two layers of Tim Holtz Kraft Core papers diecut with Gina Marie dies. A bit of ribbon and one green pearl finished the card.

Thanks for stopping by. I enjoy reading your comments!
Oh my... this is sooo beautiful! That sentiment and image... and the background is perfect! This makes me smile...
ReplyDeleteI love the writings of Kahlil Graban, so I really enjoyed doing this one, Lisa. Thank you!
DeleteThis is beautiful, Jean. The textured cardstock works perfectly with this elegant image. That touch of satin ribbon with an Asian feel is perfect. And your coloring is superb, as always. Wow!
ReplyDeleteThat ribbon is kind of special and I hate using it up. Isn't that silly? And, someday my children would just toss it in the garbage, so USE it!! LOL1 Thank you, Melanie!
DeleteI see that once again we were thinking alike! I love how you did that background! It looks like a beautiful sunset!
ReplyDeleteWell, I'm not surprised, are you? HaHa! Thanks, Janet!
DeleteOoh, I love the background....sort of a Bokeh, dreamsicle sort of sky! So, so beautiful! I understand about the ribbon. I have some embellishments I love and I dread the day I go to use them and they are gone.
ReplyDeleteNice that you added the term "Bokeh", Katrina. I was teaching a class yesterday and couldn't remember the term :)
DeleteWow! Just stunning! Love this beauty!
ReplyDeleteHugs!
Darcy
Thank you, Darcy!
DeleteJean your card is lovely I do love these sentiments they are so well said. As you know I am leaving Outlawz's at the end of the month and I am sorry to leave when the team only has 5 members but I have so much going on and I am so involved with My Bestie I had to let one go so I am sorry that it has to be Outlawz, but I have enjoyed being a part of the team with you and the other ladies you all are so lovely and friendly and I will miss you all. Big hugs Andrea
ReplyDeleteAndrea, I truly understand why you have to let something go. I wonder myself sometimes if I can keep up this pace. I will miss you, so do drop by now and then and say hello. I'm glad we got to know each other at least a bit through The Outlawz. Enjoy your Bestie work!
DeleteI wish I was as comfortable as you are with the splattered background, it's so pretty and love the image. I didn't realize I had the site with all your beautiful coloring and artwork, I thought it was all zentangle. I think that's why I didn't think you did many challenges other than The Outlawz...I'll have to visit more often so I can keep tabs on what you do between crops. See you Sunday.
ReplyDeleteThat's so sweet, Sue. Thank you. And, we can play with this technique on Sunday if you'd like! My Zentangle is on a totally different blog than my color and play :)
DeleteAnother pretty card! Love the background! Thanks for joining us at MHKDesigns!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Judy for all the nice comments you have left!
