Wind Blown Penguin
I {heart} Sketches with a tWist #162 has a fun sketch to work with and an optional twist of "Snow Day". I selected the image Wind Blown Penguin adrift on a snowy and icy day. The sentiment comes with the Cozy Kittens set.

I used a Stampin Up Cable Knit embossing folder with the two stripes done with Distress Inks as watercolor fill in Broken China (which also edges the circle and oval). The stitched circle die comes from Gina Marie Dies and the orange dots are Nuvo Crystal Drops in Ripened Pumpkin.

DeleteActually, Doris, it won't accept my link :(
DeleteSuper "cool" card, .Jean! I knew I recognized that embossing folder! I love how you inked the two stripes! So clever!
ReplyDeleteIsn't it funny how we don't think about what we have until we see someone else use it, Janet? As a knitter, I just HAD to have this folder, but hadn't used it. I do think it is a great one though.
DeleteGreat card. Awesome colouration.
ReplyDeleteThanks for playing along with our present challenge at Do-Al(l) Kreatives and good luck!

DeleteI love that adorable penguin! Your card is so rich in texture with that embossed background. Maybe I'll get around to using my Cable Knit EF after seeing how you dressed it up so beautifully.
ReplyDeleteI have another card made up with it as well. Maybe I'll post it one of these days. Thanks Melanie :)
