Ladybug Christmas Fairy

The optional twist this week over at Twisted Thursday, The Outlawz, is "Christmas Magic". I selected Ladybug Fairy from our sponsor, Bugaboo. The image has her holding a ladybug, but I added a Christmas ornament to make her work for the twist.

The additional stamps come from a set called Classic Christmas from Practical Publishing. I believe they came with a magazine. I embossed the tree on watercolor paper and used some Twinkling H2O's. The main image was fussy cut and the sentiment is popped. I added some Liquid Pearls.

  1. Jean, you are so clever! I love how you switched out the ladybug in the original digi for an ornament here! And that embossed background with the Twinkling H2Os turned out gorgeous! Great Christmas card!

    1. Thank you, Carrie. There is a photo of me at that age holding an ornament with reverence and so I couldn't resist adding the ornament over the ladybug as an embellishment.

FYI...I'm still in awe of those boots!

  6. Really beautiful, Jean! The image is so cute the way you have colored her and your background is amazing! Great idea to emboss over the colors. Or did you color over the embossing? Whatever way, it is gorgeous!!
    Hugs!

    1. Ahh, Darcy, I make myself crazy with these backgrounds. I had to look at it and I have no idea how I did that. Too bad, it must be a nice technique. Well, it will be new to me whenever I try it again LOL! Thanks for the kind words!
