Soda-lighted to Have You as a Friend

We have a new sponsor for August over at Twisted Thursday. Your Next Stamp. This week's optional twist is Faux Stitches.
This image and sentiment comes from a set called Happy Meal. The background papers were done with Ranger WaterColor paper that were sploshed with Oxide Distress inks. My Favorite Things Wonky Stitched dies were used to trim the papers. Stamping inside and out was done with Memento Inks. Four brads and some pop-up foam were added for dimension.

    So beautiful, Jean! Alas, I am still waiting for my oxide inks to arrive. You made a lovely background TWICE!!! I like the play on words. Very cute and very clever!

      That's just terrible that you haven't yet received your inks yet, Darcy. I am really loving them for making fun backgrounds. I will be ordering set three as soon as it comes out. (And, I will pay more to get them right away. I have NO patience to wait, LOL!)

      Kim (Paper Smooches) and I were in that boat with the first release. Not worth the savings, in my mind anyway.

    Jean oh I just love the way you have created your background did you use paints? it looks wonderful. All the faux stitching looks so neat on it. Big hugs to you Andrea (will write soon- my holiday didn't go so well)

      Andrea, those rich colors come from the new oxide inks. They react with water so they kind of look like watercolors. I'm sorry that your holiday didn't go as planned :(
