The optional twist over at
Twisted Thursday,
The Outlawz, is to use embossing. Our sponsor,
MKH Designs has a beautiful set of butterflies called
Butterfly Wisdom. I colored this image with my Polychromos and edged with Distress Inks. I also added a bit of Wink of Stella. The background was done with an embossing folder. I used a clear embossing powder and went over with Distress Inks. I made a tiny purple bow and attached a couple of dimensional butterflies from Basic Grey.
Jean, what beautiful butterflies! I love all the pretty colors and the way you used embossed, die cut and digital butterflies on your card! I think this is one of my favorites of all your cards, and that's saying a lot!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Carrie. Sometimes we are just lucky enough to have the right embossing folders and embellishments to compliment an image that we are working with. And, I had just finished watching a video using that background technique or I wouldn't have thought to use it.
DeleteI agree with Carrie, Jean, this is a gorgeous card! I love all the colors and that background...we have to discuss how you did that! It's just a beautiful card in every way!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Janet. I just spread Distress Inks over the embossed paper. Easy :)
DeleteJean, Gorgeous with all the beautiful soft colors. The butterfly embossing folder is perfect. The Wink of Stella always looks so beautiful but hard to see in a photo. So pretty.

Thank you, Pat. Yes, that Wink of Stella does not want to shine for a photo LOL! But, I think we all can imagine :)
DeleteLove this card!!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Jeanie!
