Java Jane for Vivian

So, I have a dear Online friend who lives in Singapore who expressed a wish for something from me. She works in art journals and loves the artist Vera Lane. So, I used the image, Java Jane to create a fun tag for her.
The larger tag is from Julia Nutting, Tag Pad. The smaller tag is from Gina K. The Coffee splats are from Prima.

Thanks for coming by! Do leave me a message if you have time as I love hearing from my visitors and friends!

Dragon and Butterflies

Our sponsor this month at Twisted Thursday is Dragons Lair Designs.  Our challenge this week is an "anything goes".
I colored this image, Flutter-byes, with Copics and added a bit of shimmer from Spectrum Noir and some black Nuvo Crystal drops on his nose and eyes. The background paper is an embossing folder swiped with Distress Oxide Inks. The image was popped and then wrapped with a burlap twine. A small butterfly charm was added, and the sentiment is from Tim Holtz, Small Talk.

Joshua Polka Dot Pat

I was just thrilled to get this set, Joshua, a Polka Dot Pal, from Little Miss Muffet and Simply Cards & Papercraft issue 176. So, I thought I would use the PNG feature and make a little scene.
I started with paper from We Are 3 Digital Paper, Fairy Mail - Map,  and layered the joshua tree over that then the hiker and sentiment from the set. What fun this was to color it in the brown tones. I went over the sentiment with a black and a white gel pen.

Thanks for dropping by, and a special thanks to anyone who leaves a comment as I love reading comments!

Coffee Mouse

I was so enamored by this freebie image, graciously offered by Gerda Steiner, that I just had to color it up immediately! The image is called Coffee Mouse.
I played with purple undertones, Copic dotting, and adding colored pencils with this one. Unfortunately, I added a new black gel pen to the eyes and it blobbed! So, I had to make his little eyes both bigger to try to hide it.
The antique frame comes from Penny Black.

Dragon Bath Time Card

Our sponsor this month at Twisted Thursday is Dragons Lair Designs.  Our optional twist is "handmade flowers".
So, where would a cute dragon take a bubble bath? In a field of flowers, of course! This image, Rupert Dragon Bathtime Rubber Duck, was colored with Copics and edged with Distress Oxides. The back panel was watercolored and topped with salt for texture. The flowers are from Heartfelt Creations, Delightful Daisy set. Some Nuvo drops, Spectrum Noir Glitter Gloss, and a rubber ducky button finished up the card.

Love Coffee

Little Acres Creations is having a wonderful Blog Hop along with the the Coffee Loving Cardmakers to celebrate their Birthday! After following along the blog hop for inspiration, participants should create something with a Coffee and/or Nature Theme and add them to both sites.
The "Love Coffee" comes from a printable from My Scrap Chick. I ran it through my Minc machine with gold foil, (which, most of you know, does not photograph well so use your imagination) and then went over it with inks from Gina K. A few Nuvo Crystal Drops and a tiny pink heart were added for texture.

Thanks for stopping by! I love reading your comments, so leave me one, LOL!

Art Nouveau Teaset from Dragons Lair Designs

Our sponsor this month at Twisted Thursday is Dragons Lair Designs.  Our optional twist is "watercolor".
I used the image Art Nouveau Teaset for this card. I did color the image with Copics, but the background is watercolored using Distress Oxide Inks then sprayed with Shimmer Spritz. I heat embossed the Hello (Letter It Greetings from Ranger) using Memento green ink and then added some Nuvo drops, a ribbon, and flowers.

Copic Colors Used
Round layers, with the center of the image popped, adds some nice dimension to this card. The sentiment comes from Altenew, Painted Greetings. The paper is from Doodlebug Design's 6x6 pad Hello Sunshine.
Finally, a few colorful Nuvo Crystal drops were added for a bit more whimsy.

Thank you for your visit, and an extra thanks if you left a message!

Hoppy the Frog Singing in the Rain

Our sponsor this month at Twisted Thursday is Dragons Lair Designs. We will be showing off some really cute images this month. Our optional twist is "Rain" which I added using a white gel pen.
I used Hoppy the Frog Under Mushroom Toadstool for this card.

The white heat embossed sentiment comes from Paper Smooches Critter Card Puns. I added some red Nuvo Crystal Drops on the mid-sized mushroom and clear on the frog's eyes.

Spring into April

The Three Amigos Blog Hop Challenge for April is "April showers bring May flowers". Since this went along with the photo inspiration, Spring,
challenge from Paper Smooches, I am combining the two this month.
I created the background using stamps from Botanicals 2 and heat embossed them in white. Then, I blended the background with Gina K inks. The panel was wrapped with black twine and the silhouettes were added from the Silhouette Flowers Wise Dies set. The sentiment comes from Delightful Greetings and was heat embossed in white also and popped (as was the bow and a few of the flower tops). The panel was backed with black and attached to a piece of Gina K paper.

Easel Card April Progressive The Outlawz

Our sponsor this month over at the Progressive Freebie Challenge from designer Andrea Norris, SheepSkiDesigns, who provided us this sweet kitty and butterfly image called Virgo.

Copics and Pens Used
After coloring with Copic markers, I used the blender on texture for some interest. Then, I used some colored pencils for depth. The flowers were colored with a variety of Spica glitter pens and gel pens. The butterfly was printed twice and I popped one over the other. An easel shaped card with a corner die cut from Tonic was the base. I added some Robin's Nest Dew Drops, some ribbon, and a sentiment from Tim Holtz' Small Talk.

Thanks so much for dropping by. Hope you join us! And, a special thanks if you left me a message!
