Happy New Year 2018

Took advantage of the adorable free image from Gerda Steiner Designs for 2018 and added another little freebie from her site to go on top. So, I decided to jump in, kind of last minute, for the Share your Designs Challenge.
Gerda Steiner Designs
The images were colored with Copic markers, and the date was topped with Nuvo clear glitter pen. I added some gold string behind the popped sentiment as well as several gold disks.

A Jiggler Snowman on a Stairstep Card

This month over at Twisted Thursday, our sponsor is A Day for Daisies. This week's twist is Anything Goes.
Side View
I used the Christmas Bells as a drop banner both on the inside and out by changing the size before printing. They were colored with gel pens and cut with MFT Die-namics. The background was created with Brusho; the image (Art Impressions) with Copic markers; and, the tree (Stampendous) was dotted with Nuvo Crystal Drops. A jiggler was added to the snowman for lots of interactive fun!

Fairy Tree Ornament

This month over at Twisted Thursday, our sponsor is A Day for Daisies. This week's twist is Tree Ornament.
I used the image Peace and Quiet, colored her with a foil reactive pen to run through my Minc with a silver dotted foil.  I also made a background using my Minc machine and green foil.I fussy cut the image and put her over a vellum Christmas ball ornament topped with gold string. The bottom layer is silver glitter paper and I cut out some silver stars from the same paper.

Happy Holiday Tags

Day eight, and sadly, the last day, on the  Winter Coffee Lovers Blog Hop:
Finally got my new Gina K tags in the mail. Aren't they so cute? I sponged the inside of the big on with Distress Oxide Inks, added some Spectrum Noir markers, some snowflakes, a tiny red heart, and a few pearls.

I have so enjoyed this hop and seeing so many creative ways to use coffee/tea/cocoa in projects. Thanks to Amy, the great sponsors, and especially to those of you who took the time to drop by and leave me a sweet comment!

Happiness in a Cup of Tea

Day seven on the  Winter Coffee Lovers Blog Hop:
Copic Colors Used
I was surprise to read that today's entry should be "tea"! Not required though. Well, I love tea as well as coffee, especially the flavors that are out there for this time of year like Gingerbread, YUM!

I used one of my new stamp sets from Stamplorations called Coffee Happy for both the image and the sentiment. The white tag was stamped with snowflakes, the paper is from a paper pack from Moda Scrap, called Let it Snow, and I added a few little white snowflakes from my stash.

Forest Friends

This month over at Twisted Thursday, our sponsor is A Day for Daisies. This week's twist is Poinsettia.
I used the image Forest Friends, colored with Prismacolor pencils, and added the PNG image over some free Poinsettia paper that I had from Stitchy Bear. The sentiment comes from Tim Holtz.

Cocoa for Santa and Carrots for the Reindeer

Day six on the  Winter Coffee Lovers Blog Hop:

Since it is National Cocoa day, I thought it appropriate to create a Christmas tag showing a nice warm mug of cocoa for Santa and some carrots for his reindeer. Of course, once I learned who Santa was, I started leaving coffee and cookies.

The mug die cut is from My Favorite Things Hot Cocoa Cups, the stockings are from Joy Crafts; I made the carrots myself.

Christmas Tag with Poinsettia; but, Coffee First

Day five on the  Winter Coffee Lovers Blog Hop:
I created a double layer tag, so the top is popped up over the coffee mug. The die cut comes from My Favorite Things Hot Cocoa Cups. The poinsettia and holly leaves stamps come from a Stampendous set called Wrapped Poinsettia. Sentiment is from Stampabilities called Coffee. The poinsettia comes with matching dies, so this is layered. Both the mug and the poinsettia were colored on smooth brisol paper with Koi Coloring Brush Pens. Twine and Nuvo Crystal Drops finished off this tag.

Pug in a Mug

Day four on the  Winter Coffee Lovers Blog Hop:
A little tea and a little coffee!
I need more tags for Christmas gifts, so I chose to use Tea Time, a BigZ die from Sizzix. I added a cute little Need a Pug from Pink and Main. The pug was colored with Prismacolor colored pencils, I added some clear gel over the scarf and some Spica glitter pen in black for the eyes. the coffee beans are from a Fiskars set, and the pug and little tag were popped up.

Brentwood with his Coffee

Day three on the  Winter Coffee Lovers Blog Hop:
It may be snowy and cold where you live, but this is winter right now in sunny central Arizona. Lots of green grass and pretty flowers everywhere you look!

This cutie, Brentwood Owl Coffee Lovers, comes from Jessica Lynn Original and is free at the moment just for the hop. Wouldn't it be something to have a coffee mug as big as you are? I colored the image with Albrecht Durer watercolor pencils from Faber Castell, added a bit of Spectrum Noir Sparkle pen to his nose and to the coffee. The paper is from Gina K and the edges of the middle layer are edged with Distress inks. Four button brads were added to the image before popping it up on the card.

Warm Holiday Wishes

Day two on the  Winter Coffee Lovers Blog Hop:
This certainly was a lot of fun to do. I started with some corrugated cardboard from a box and added it to a card base. I also used some on the sleeve for the cup, die cut using a Sizzix Tim Holts BigZ. Behind the popped up cup, I used some cardboard from a box of K cups, and all were treated to some Distress Inks and water sploshes. The sentiment comes from Lawn Fawn, the coffee beans are from Stampabilities, and the snowflakes, well I don't remember. If anyone does, please let me know because they are such a nice collection of small snowflake dies. A tiny bow from glittery twine finishes off this card.

Coffee Lovers Blog Hop and Three Amigos Blog Hop

The Winter Coffee Lovers Blog Hop has started and I am excited to see all of the fun coffee related cards showing up. This digital coffee cup, colored with watercolor pencils and fussy cut and popped up, is from Limited Run, one of the generous sponsors for this hop. I added some embossed candles from Paper Smooches, and a sentiment from Art Impressions.
Also, this month, the Three Amigos Blog Hop Challenge is Silver and Gold.  Do take a look at the beautiful papers and follow along on the blog posts for inspiration! This seemed like a good time to combine two challenges. I do like the look of shiny papers, but they are so difficult to take a decent photo of. I went all over the house trying to take a picture that didn't show me in the reflection. There must be a trick that I don't know!

Paper Sweeties Homespun Holiday Card

I saw the wonderful inspiration photo for this month's Paper Sweeties Anything Goes Challenge and I just had to jump in.
I was inspired by the items in a row, which I did but vertically, the red/brown/green combo, and the holiday season.

I used the Sweet Cuts, Homespun Holiday. (The link goes to the dies. I couldn't find the stamp set.) I stamped in black Versamark and heat set the little hearts. The sentiment comes from the same set.

Christmas Ornaments on an Easel Card

This set of pretty Christmas ornaments was provided to us from the very talented Sandra Van Blaricum for our December Progressive Freebie Challenge over at The Outlawz. I created an easel card.
The Merry Christmas embossing folder was topped with Distress Inks. The die cuts were made a long time ago and I can't find the die any longer to tell you who it is from. Sure wish I could find it, especially at Christmas card making season! The Copic colored ornaments were cut with my Scan n Cut and some Nuvo Crystal Drops were added before popping them on the top of the card. The included sentiment was also popped up to hold the card open. Finally, the little Rudolph button was added for a touch of whimsy.
