Snowy Penguin Scene Christmas Card

I picked up this cute stamp set from Recollections this week and had to create a snowy scene for this sweet penguin. I also used a small tree stamp from Impression Obsession.
Papers are from an older Paper Studio pack called A Very Merry Christmas. The hills were cut with a Lawn Fawn set and layered. I added some snowflakes by embossing in white over little dots made with an embossing pen. The fluffier snow is embossed chunky white from Stampendous. The sentiment came with the set.

Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge #239

I happened across the Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge and found the sketch just calling my name. So, with something much more elaborate in mind, I created a card with only layers, die cuts, and Distress Inks.
The sparkly die cut is from Heartfelt Creations, Regal Borders and Pockets and embossed with Ranger Holographic embossing powder. The center strip was popped up on foam strips. The center poinsettia was created using the Stitched Poinsettia Trio from PoppyStamps and cut from Foamiran and shrunk down with a heat gun. The outer poinsettias were die cut from a set by Elizabeth Craft Designs. The centers of all were dotted with Nuvo Crystal Drops.

Thanks so much for stopping by. I truly enjoy reading comments.

Java Fox November Tag

I was just loving the things that were being posted over at Craftin Desert Divas November Mood Board Monthly Social Media Challenge on Facebook, and just had to jump in and create a tag.
Nov. Mood Board
I was inspired by the hot cocoa and the fall colors. I had to add some blue though as it is opposite of orange on the color wheel. This cute image is called Java Fox. The brown tag has some Snow-Tex stenciled through an Elizabeth Crafts Design stencil. I popped up the image that has some Tumbled Glass around the edges and added some rick rack and twine. Three white dots of Nuvo Crystal Drops finishes this off.

Polka Dot Pals Katie with Full Face

I was anxious to try out adding a full face to a digital image from Little Miss Muffet using the new set to add eyes and glasses to the images with clear stamps. I made a line the correct length in a Word document, turned the image so that the eyes were level, and adjusted the image until the line touched the pupil of each eye. I may be just a tad off, but this was my first try. I saved the line so that I can adjust it more.

The image I used is Polka Dot Pals Katie, colored with Prismacolor colored pencils. I added some Nuvo Crystal drops in clear to her eyes and the puppy's nose, and some Wink of Stella to her pretty bows and lips.

The background paper is layers of acrylic paint that was splashed with alcohol. I used some gold accent paper and Wow Embossing powder to emboss the edges and the sentiment from Altenew.

Thank You in Fall Colors with Paper Smooches Stamps

Just had to do one more card for Paper Smooches. The November challenge is Fall.
For the background, I used fall colors of Distress Oxides on Bristol paper with splattered Shimmer spray. I embossed different leaves in gold from the very versatile Botanicals 2 stamp set and then added the sentiment in a darker gold from the Delightful Greetings set. A few Nuvo Crystal drops were added to the centers of the orange flowers.

Thanks for stopping by, and a special thanks to all that leave comments!

Jane from Little Miss Muffet

I have added my own eyes to Little Miss Muffet images with varying success, so I was very pleased to see that they came out with a set to add eyes and glasses to the images using clear stamps. I found them very easy to use and place correctly on the face.
The image is Polka Dot Pals Jane, colored with Copics. I added some white gel pen, clear gel pen, and some Wink of Stella. The sentiment comes from I Heart You from My Favorite Things. I also added some burlap, wooded buttons, and some Nuvo Crystal Drops.

Fall Shopping List

This month FALL is the challenge over at Paper Smooches!

Am I the only one who thinks of food? I'll bet not, LOL! So, I grabbed the Paper Smooches Paper Die, cut it out using a file card, and made my list.
The orange and striped papers are from Pink & Main Pumpkin Spice pack. The next layer is Distress Oxide Inks through a leaves stencil. Added a bit of the inks to the note with some cute little check marks from the Clipboards Two set, rolled a corner and popped the note up. I added a little bow and some orange Nuvo Crystal Drops.

I also shared this with the November Paper Sweeties Challenge. I was inspired by the first inspiration card with the "Eat Pie"!

Thank you for taking the time to drop by, and I always love reading your comments!

Accordion Folded Christmas Card

This month, the Three Amigos Blog Hop Challenge is "Beary Christmas. Do take a look at the beautiful inspiration! I just loved the tiny patterned paper with the trees. I didn't have it in that color, but I had some similar paper in blue that I used to make this card.
Unusual for me not to do any coloring, but I really wanted to play with this accordion fold from SplitCoastStampers called a Panel Pull-out. Here is what it looks like from the top.
