Bendy Card

Well, I watched a video from Jen Evers and just HAD to try a bendy card. I wish I knew how to video myself working because everyone would just have a chuckle at my expense watching my many attempts. I love fancy folds, but often find them challenging. Do look at the video. It really is clear I'm sure for most people!
Open Card

The smaller hot air balloons, clouds, and sentiment are from Stampin Up.
The smaller balloons were colored with Distress Inks. The larger was cut from patterned paper from my stash.

Stampendous Butterfly with Chameleon Pencils

I just got my new Chameleon Color Tones Pencils. I LOVE them. The colors are so nice and creamy and blend together beautifully. I grabbed the large butterfly from Stampendous and heat embossed it with Ranger silver embossing powder and then colored.
I popped it up over a piece of embossed and blended with Oxide Inks paper, added some Paper Smooches Silhouette flowers (double die cut to make shadows, a ribbon, and some fancy gems. Finally, I added a layer of Wink of Stella for a bit of sparkle.

Happy Birthday from a Primrose Sprite

I have seen these cuties before and finally have one of my own. This is Primrose Sprite from Aurora Wings. I am entering her in the Aurora Wings Challenge Blog as a birthday celebration card.
As soon as I saw this sweet sprite, I knew I wanted to color her with Prismacolor pencils. The background was colored with Distress Inks. The die cut is Sunflower Array from Tonic Studios and covered with Silk Microfine Glitter in Light Gold from Elizabeth Craft Designs. The flowers, iamroses.com, were colored with Copics with an air brush. And, the sentiment comes from Stampendous, Fresh Blossoms.

Thanks for visiting. I do love reading your comments!

When Pigs Fly

The Bloobel Progressive Challenge on Facebook for June had several images to choose from. I selected Fairy Pig.
I made my own sentiment with Word.  I trimmed the Oxide Distress Inks background with a Paper Smooches die, added a ribbon and some enamel dots. The little flying pig was popped up as was the sentiment. I added a second wing for dimension.

Whale Hello from Paper Smooches

The June challenge for Paper Smooches is Men! I thought I would keep the color minimal and I selected the whale from the Huge Hugs set.
The waves were cut using a die from Queen Co. and then pressed through a Darice embossing folder. It was then double popped over black cardstock. The sentiment, is included with the Paper Smooches Huge Hugs set. I added a couple of white bubbles and some Wink of Stella over the black, Copic colored, section of the whale with a dot of clear Nuvo Crystal drops over his eye.

I thought this made a great masculine card. Thanks for your visit, and I hope to see you again soon!
