Happy Spring!

This month, at the Paper Smooches blog, the challenge is Showers. I just got the fun set called Chubby Chums from Paper Smooches.
I colored two of the cute critters with watercolor pencils and popped them up on paper that I colored with Oxide Inks and splashed with water droplets. The umbrellas (popped), rain drops, and sentiment come from Penny Blacks, April Showers stamp set. I masked off the umbrellas to add the rain which was then textured with clear Nuvo Crystal Drops. The clouds, also popped and watercolored with pencils, are from Hearts & Clouds by W Plus 9.

This set from Paper Smooches has three more adorable critters and several sentiments. It even has a tiny paw print and a hugs and kisses symbol! XO

  1. Great coloring of your images and umbrellas and really love the stamp set on the raindrops and adding the Crystal drops...in CTMH we call it liquid glass and I often use it.

    1. I do love the clear drops, Sue. I used to use the Glossy Accents, but it often left bubbles. This doesn't seem to do that.

    2. And thanks for joining us at Color Dare this week and really want to see you back here; however, the Color Dare Challenge is an (Only and All) colors listed in our challenge unlike the color challenges for The Outlawz. However, you could put this card in the challenge for Heart2Heart for their April Showers, this is a challenge that lasts all month, so you can add it there.

    4. No, it's too cute, just won't qualify. The colors that they give in the Color Challenge mean use ONLY those colors, and has to contain ALL the colors, unlike Outlawz wherein if you have the majority of their colors, the images can contain many additional colors. I know you are so full of color and do beautiful coloring, don't want to discourage you from doing Color Dare.

    5. LOL, Sue. I don't think I could do just a few colors. I may try though one day!

    1. Thanks, Princess. I didn't really know what was meant by "all and only". Now I know and will enter properly in the future.
