Wind Blown Penguin

This week for the challenge over at i {heart} card sketches w/ a tWiSt #129, I chose to use both the sketch and the twist. The twist was to use heat embossing. I used a snowflake stamp from Hero Arts and embossed it with clear embossing ink and stamped it on to white cardstock. Then, after heat setting, I went over it with several shades of blue Distress Inks and wiped it with a baby wipe. The three snowflakes are plastic white ones that I sprayed with my Copics in B2. I used thee ribbons to make the stripe in the background that matched the colors of the balloons. This cute little penguin and sentiment come from a set called Wind Blown Penguin.

  2. Hey Jean! I really like how you achieved the transparency on your balloons. That's always so tough to do. I really like the colors you chose and the background. Thanks so much for sharing this with us at From The Heart Stamps Sketch Challenge 129. Best of luck.

    1. Thanks, Kathy. I think it could be better, but I have not given up and will continue to work on it. I love images with balloons just for that reason :)
